Its one of the best games to play if you just wanna chill and relax. I love this game so much, im used to getting sick of games after a couple of days playing it non stop but i cant stop playing this game at all its so addicting. 10/10!3 found this helpful
I’ve played a lot of management games, and I usually really enjoy this genre. I loved games like *Dave the Diver* and many other shop-management games, but unfortunately, *Box Bakery* is just extremely boring to me. I’ve only reached the second town, and I already don’t feel like continuing. Other than adding a few new recipes and one new cooking method, the game barely introduces any new mechanics or features. Most of the gameplay is just clicking, waiting for customers to buy the bread, and then restocking the shelves. You do this again and again. The other main thing you can do is complete random tasks to earn hamster coins, which are mostly used to buy stickers. I can tell that the developer probably put a lot of effort into the sticker system, because so many task rewards are stickers, and a large part of the money you earn also seems to be meant for buying stickers. But personally, I don’t care that much about collecting stickers, and without them, there is honestly not much else to spend money on. The amount of things you can buy is also way too limited. By the second town, there are only three new ingredient books, one new appliance—a refrigerator—and only a few buffs in…1 found this helpful
I was a little hesitant going in since the first impressions the UI gives off is very mobile game-y. However, I'm glad I stuck with it because this is one of my favorite management sims at the moment. The artwork is super well done and the NPC designs are adorable. Each little critter has their own storyline that you get to explore as you become better friends with them and complete tasks for them. You even get to to customize a scrapbook page for each one with little memorabilia and stickers. If you don't care much for story, you're probably not going to enjoy this game due to the simple gameplay loop, but otherwise I would recommend :)1 found this helpful
Box Bakery is extremely addictive and surprisingly touching. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did, but it's ended up being one of my favorite cozy games. It's a baking/bakery management game, though much heavier on the shop management side than the baking side--you have to try each recipe yourself the first time, picking ingredients, mixing them, and baking/freezing/cooking them according to a recipe, but your trusty assistant will take over after that and supply you with 58 taro cakes or what-have-you with a few clicks once you've figured it out. Doing things manually is usually an option, but the game automates the more repetitive systems pretty quickly, which is definitely welcome! Besides restaurant management, there are a bunch of other things to do: I really enjoy arranging all my stickers and keepsakes for each character, for one. The gameplay loop is simple and forgiving enough to be relaxing while still having some interesting puzzles and complexities if you like to optimize things. There isn't a huge amount of customization in how your bakery looks or functions once you've unlocked the largest display case (this doesn't take long), but it is fun to replace th…

I have fallen in love with this game. It is very cozy and the characters are very funny and cute. Wasn't expecting the game to be as detailed and big as it is with travel features, but it's a nice surprise. The Mayors story really hit home for me and had me sobbing, simply because I went through a very similar situation. If you love baking games, give this one a try, the characters make you want to stay and play longer. I don't fully understand the sticker system as its kind of grindy to get stickers via hearts (much like a gotcha system but with no external money), and the furniture can be quite pricey when you need groceries. I feel things will hopefully get easier the more I play and level up my yeast, but until then, I am enjoy the character interactions, stories, and personality types. The faces they make are priceless and keep me wanting more. Great job Devs!
