About Bright Days in Quarantine

It is hard to adapt to such drastic changes to our daily lives in a world where most of us need to stay at home to help curb a virus pandemic. Keeping a house organized during quarantine can be difficult, especially when you have some remote work to do too. But don’t freak out. It's all about dividing the household chores between all family members.. When is time for one to work, is time for you to clean. But wait!

In this all of a sudden hurricane of housework and remote work tasks, the only thing you can do is revisit old hobbies and find joy in the small things. Otherwise, you go insane!

Let's find joy too in this frenetic shelter simulation game. All you have to do is to take great care of the house, doing all the scheduled household chores in a way that you still have some spare time. Through 10 phases with increasing levels of difficulty, sweep the floor, dust the furniture, put the trash away, do the laundry, and make sure the fridge is always full! But remember, after doing all the chores, you need to dedicate some time to the little joys available in your new routine BEFORE the clock strikes. If you don’t, you go insane, and it’s Game Over.

It’s really hard to finish all the scheduled chores before the clock strikes. But between each cleared level, let’s find little pleasures in things that have passed unnoticed through your days before.

You usually don't expect much from a game this cheap, yet the feeling it conveys match the experience we are living through all around the world. As you run around the house, rushing against the clock the game forces you to question what are the priorities when it seems that doing everything you want is impossible. Each day starts with your sanity not completely recovered from the last one, this way it's impossible to speed all tasks like a robot ignoring your necessities and helps you to think about the way your are living irl. The pixel art is impressive, the music it plays when you find time for yourself is rewarding and the atmosphere it creates is powerful. Give this game a chance, you will enjoy it!

Simple and well executed mechanics makes the experience very pleasant. What an incredible game, addressing such a contemporary theme and bringing a positive message. It made me think of all the opportunities that we sometimes miss in the middle of routine.

Bright days in quarantine has a nice potential but fails on delivering a nice game. With all the situation of the world this game has a great idea and it actually executes it pretty decent at first, however the game is not fun, it's a chorus simulator and the more days you spend more chorus appears. The idea is pretty nice as I said but the rest is just frustating. The soundtrack is repetitive, and annoying. The game does not have a decent tutorial, heck it doesn't have a tutorial at all. You need to find out what to do (even tho most things are pretty literal it still lacks on a guiding system). The time is horrible, you need to finish all by midnight, however you have a "life bar" and it will go down if you're hungry or needs to go use the bathroom. That's okay, however, if you are doing a chorus, like, cleaning the floor with the broom, you need to unequip the broom and then eat or pee. And you can't just leave the broom anywhere, you need to move until the broom holder and go eat and then go back, grab it back and then go cleaning again, until 20 seconds later your hungry attacks again. The idea is incredible but gets annoying by little things, like, why can I only carry one i…

Got stuck on day three, the recipe day since I didn't know how to dust the furniture, since it doesn't show you...I tried clicking where the broom is but it only picks up the broom so idk. So yeah not really a fair review I guess since I can't play any further than this part but it's not explained and theres no where to show me where I'm going wrong so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ A very frustrating game if I'm honest. Can't skip the 'cut scenes' either since I couldn't save and had to keep playing from the start it was annoying. A lot of sticking to the walls and getting caught on stuff as well as you have to face and interact exactly the way they want you to, otherwise you just wasted time and nothing happens. A lot of button mashing and the continue doesn't work for me? If I 'freak out', that's where the continue leaves me off, so I have to play all the days again. The fact the portraits are all emoji people drawn over is very distracting lol Can't exit out or navigate very well, unless I'm doing something wrong....? Was able to press back on the language menu by using my mouse but since the controls only showed keyboard I didn't think to use it straight away. [EDIT] Loving the response…

It always gets stuck on the DVD day no matter how many times I reinstall it and replay it, which sucks since I have been asking for help for this in the disscusion since forever. Despite this I will give it a positive review as it is a very wholesome and nice game overall! Just wish someone from the dev team would check the discussion page.
