Lockdown Hero is praised for being a genuinely original and addictive open-world exploration game with charming Animal Crossing-like graphics, engaging progression systems, and plenty of content including side quests and mini-games. However, multiple players report frustrating control issues, particularly with keyboard and mouse controls that feel unresponsive or poorly mapped for PC, along with difficulty spikes that punish deaths heavily, making the game feel like a mobile port that wasn't properly adapted to keyboard and mouse gameplay.
Pros and Cons Pros – Lockdown Hero is a game that feels like a completely new concept and not just a (good) recycled one. – There are many side quests in this game next to the main quest. – There is a casino with many mini-games to play where you can earn new equipment. – You can learn many skills to access new areas. – The progress system feels fair and is also rewarding. – The game continues after you have found the cure instead of just rewinding time to before finding the cure. – The game is one of the most addictive ones I have played in a while. – You can find equipment to change how your character looks. – The graphics in Lockdown hero look amazing and they remind me of Animal Crossing. – The voice acting for killing Corona still makes me laugh after many times and this does not get annoying. – Fully completing the game would take you many hours without the story getting boring or traversing lands that are devoid of life. Cons – The corona virus might be a trigger for some people. – You have to wait before new content gets released. Surprisingly fun and cute open-world exploration game, considering it's a bit of a meme filled reflection of the terrible event that is happening around us at the moment. But it's healthy to laugh https://youtu.be/cHkawwG25lk4 found this helpful
i like the game but wish the controls were better, with keyboard its hard to kill virus where on controller cant look but everything else works. in fact on controller when i push a button it responds right then where on keyboard small delay. if you fix the controls on either ill give thumbs up3 found this helpful
If you die, you have to start all over again (including quests). Personally I found it's very hard to kill the virus (while using the mouse), middle button does not usually react on time and I die myself instead of killing it. Don't have enough patience for this.1 found this helpful
Could be better. 1. Remapping the controls would have helped. (Attack with alcohol using LMB instead of MMB) 2. Look around using mouse movement instead of holding RMB. 3. Access on-screen UI via shortcuts intead of LMB Somehow, the game feels like a mobile game port that was not adjusted to PC controls properly. It's an ok game in my opinion due to the issues I've experienced. Breaks the fun for me. May be better with a controller, but I'm a M&KB guy.1 found this helpful
