About Broken Alliance
Broken Alliance is an indie turn-based adventure strategy game with strong RPG elements, inspired by old school classics such as King's Bounty, Disciples, Heroes of Might and Magic, Age of Wonders, Master of Magic and... with a fresh deckbuilding twist. We want to bring you a revival of the classics combined with our signature focus on storytelling and a deep, challenging tactical combat experience from industry veterans who have worked on Disco Elysium, the Heroes of Might & Magic series, and more!
The world is collapsing from overuse of magic and you need to side with one of four factions to save it. Side with the nature-loving Paradise, the tehnological powerhouse of Forge, the traditionalist Anchorage, or the fanatical Phobos: you choose. Build and expand your kingdom, recruit mythical creatures as the Champions of your cause, solve ancient puzzles, unearth mighty artefacts and make or break alliances. In Early Access, only Anchorage will be playable initially, with the other factions to follow as we plan to bring you new content with each update.
Broken Alliance features a card-based combat system that allows unique gameplay for each faction. Build up your deck from your Champions and Artefacts you find during your adventures! Earn the loyalty of your Champions, guiding them down their own personal quests to bring them to the apex of their potential, or have them make the ultimate sacrifice for the world of Eol to have a chance at salvation. Unlock the secrets of your ancestors, discover the motivations of the four Factions, and meet a variety of unique characters, all while writing your own story on how you want to save the world. I’ve been playing a bit, and it’s honestly a good game! Mixed turn-based strategy and the battles actually make you think. The pixel art is charming. Plus, I like that I can change the text font—it’s a small thing, but I can't read the original pixel font. It’s still in Early Access, so there are some rough edges, but the core gameplay is solid. The map and story are interesting. The fights are boring and tedious. Spells crash the game. The resources are scarce and this kills the all the fun you have exploring. It is barely a demo.3 found this helpful
Seems to be a well intentioned but overly ambitious project. This has resulted in an unfinished, buggy demo that lacks major features you might expect. I would respectfully suggest the dev consider tightening scope and prioritizing core gameplay features/critical bug fixes. Less constructively, I think they should have gotten further in development before going into early access. The game will be fun if they ever get it mostly finished.

Love the game! Combat is great, map is great!
Good start. Love the artwork and character designs. Story looks to be very good too. Combat is fairly straight forward but fun. It could be a bit more challenging through. Would definitely recommend and am looking forward to future content and updates.
