I really enjoyed this game

Not working for me on Linux anymore. At one point (maybe a year or 2 ago?) it worked, but now it doesn't. If I click on "Play" nothing happens, this interactive novel doesn't start. I therefore can't recommend Buried, at least not for Linux players. Back when it was working, I enjoyed it a lot. I played through to one ending, then started again so I could try it with making different choices but never got to finish that because it stopped working. I love the graphics, the ambient sounds, and the mood. The writing and choices were great. But, it just doesn't work anymore. I subsequently installed a new Linux operating system (not because Buried wasn't working, but for other reasons) on my same machine, and on a whim I decided to see if Buried works on a new install of the OS and Steam, but it still doesn't work. My other Steam games worked in both cases. So this issue does seem to be specific to Buried and not to my machine.

To get this game to work on steam deck. - Navigate to the game in your Steam Library. - Select the gear icon (Settings) on the right side of the game page. - Scroll down and select Properties. - Go to the Compatibility tab. - Check the box for "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool". - Select a version of Proton (Proton Experimental or a specific GE version is often recommended) from the drop-down menu. - Close the properties window and launch the game. And now enjoy a great interactive story experience for steam deck!

Playing with a group of friends and reading the plot was really enjoyable, although at some points the text was kind of broken, not many times but still. It didn't destroy the overall performance. 🐲
