Candice DeBébé's Scandalous Secrets

I've never left a steam review before but I have a story to share. I've played the first candice debebe game several times, shown it to friends, I honest to god even have a crappy power point i made about it for a fun presentation night i had with friends once, but I had never played the second and third games. I also have a terrible old frankenstein PC that has been standing on its last legs for at least five years, and i've had this thing for well over a decade now, with an hdd ripped out of a terrible laptop that was bad when it was purchased in 2008, an old old graphics card, and other pieces from scrap pcs my brother and i scavenged when we built it. Somehow, it has survived me... until this game. I was ready to take a look at the rest of the candice debebe trilogy with some friends, booted it up, and started streaming it on discord. Finally, with her last breath, as I tried to load the dialogue after the first platforming level of this game, everything stopped responding, and my PC crashed. This isn't new, with a pc as old as this I'm used to things crashing, but this time... she never turned back on. I suspect my PSU finally went kaput but I'm also mostly hoping its that …

Great sequel with equally fantastic graphics and soundtrack. Platforming stages require some getting used to, but the story more than compensates for it.

This is a worthy sequel. The story for this game is still good though I liked the one in the first game better. You get introduced to a couple of new characters such as Sebodore, a moody goth that becomes a playable character. Indeed, you get to play a total of 5 different characters with various abilities. Unlike the first game, the gameplay is pure 2D platforming/shooting, but I like this a lot more so I'd say that this is an improvement. While some characters are a bit on the weak side (Sebodore, blah) others are pretty powerful like Candice, and Megaz is especially helpful since her double jump allows her to reach new areas. The soundtrack is still excellent and hilarious. In fact, I think I like this one more than the first game's in terms of overall catchy tunes. If you loved the first game you will definitely love this one.
