About Cantirium: God Slayer
Challenge the gods themselves
Centuries ago, all the deities known and unknown to science descended from heaven to earth, starting an apocalypse in which all people were destroyed, as well as other weak races. You have to find out the reason for this, as well as save the world - by destroying the cruel gods!

Extraordinary protagonist
A cat girl who woke up in the ice from a thousand-year sleep, lost her memory, but nevertheless wants to save this world from complete destruction and find out "who she is."
As the story progresses, the player receives a "halo", thanks to which new unique skills will gradually be unlocked, allowing you to climb into previously inaccessible places, or defeat stronger opponents.
Game features
- Epic battles with the gods and much more
- A unique living world that is interesting to explore
- Colorful and minimalist fantasy pixel art.
- Branchy dialogues with multiple choice answers
- Non-linear story with multiple endings
- Fascinating musical compositions written in a semi-classical style with an admixture of chiptune.

Technical issues and severe lack of polish prevent the game from being enjoyable. Because the intro appears to be broken, the first impression is not positive. There is only a black square that should have text, but it is completely empty. Due to the lack of key prompts, I had to push random buttons just to get through the intro screens and play the game. I hoped this was simply a minor hiccup, but it was clear right away that the problem was much more serious. Simply said, the text does not display correctly. You have no idea which button to hit because each square is entirely empty. I also found that you may choose specific topics during talks, but this is pointless because you don't know what's going on. You're missing out on knowledge about yourself, the world, whether you're good or bad, your motives and purpose in the game, and so on. The story appears to be important because squares show up frequently while you play the game. The "ESC" key normally closes them, however they can sometimes remain on the screen or prevent you from moving, which can only be solved by force quitting the game. Naturally, you lose all progress. This drastically affects the gameplay, which is …14 found this helpful
this game looks beautiful and composed on the outside but is actually a horrible mess on the inside, just like me fr!6 found this helpful
I really wanted this to be good, because I love me a good catgirl game and I love Metroidvanias. It started out kinda janky, but I could forgive that. The Spanish dialogue (there are no options to manually set the language) was obviously machine translated (and not particularly well done even at that), but the worldbuilding was decent enough to keep me vaguely interested. The levels, which I wouldn't be surprised if they were partially machine generated due to the weird geometries full of dead ends, had enough little touches to keep me moving around instead of going directly to the next exit (something which wasn't always obvious apart from a very vague direction from the overview map). I could forgive the stiff combat with a pathetic range melee attack against enemy sponges and more than one plainly unfair enemy because I guessed eventually things would improve with powerups. There was a store where I bought one powerup but I didn't have enough coins to continue (there's a minor currency penalty for dying which might have kept me just short of buying everything), and as the game was strictly linear so far I couldn't farm for more... but I pushed on. Then I fought the second boss,…4 found this helpful
Not really a metroidvania, let me say that already. First saying I really wish i could recommend this, but the flaws of the game, the clear lack of playtesting, the developer's nonchalant attitude towards their players their complaints AND the developer reviewing their OWN GAME in the steam reviews makes me give it a not recommended. Now to the game: it looks pretty and the music is really nice! But there is just so many issues. Gameplay wise it's just boring. The bosses are all basically tanking while standing still, the platforming feels clunky because of the character hitbox and the enemies are just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ repetitive. It's also too short for the full price. Overall just meh and could've really used some playtesting.3 found this helpful
I just like the game and everything about it
