The game, while pretty janky, has some cute aspects, but be warned if you play on controller that the controls are poorly converted keyboard inputs and basically feel terrible to play with. I played it enough like that on the prerelease demo, and controller play apparently hasn't been deemed worth basic fixes for this obvious wrong-headed setup after some nine months, so into the bin this goes. Recommending kbm is not an excuse for poor controller design.

Great boat roguelite! I enjoy sailing and fighting and the dash with inv frames is truly wacky :) The controls feel great on K+M, controller felt clumsy in comparison. The items system reminded me Risk of Rain a little and it's nice to actually see the items and crew on your boat. I liked the premise but was reluctant to buy at full price but I'm happy with my purchase in the end :)

Super funny and very good looking game that easily hooks you right on the first tries. You get improving try by try and always want to get further (and so you do!). That's kind of addictive, I guess (always in the good way). I recommend it, for sure (suitable both for ships-lovers and no ships-lovers)

Absolutely cracking. Boats. Water. Cannons. More Boats. Should definitely be getting more exposure.

TLDR: great rogue-lite with medium to long runs, with a great variety of weapons, items and enemies, not buggy, and interesting mechanics. To start off, length run. This games focuses on medium length (harder) runs and longer runs. So, if you’re looking for a shorter run, you can go straight to the objective of the area, which means you’ll get less upgrades, but if you’re looking for something a bit longer and take your time, you can take advantage of additional objectives in every area, or farm enemies for a stronger build. There is no mid-run save system, though, so take that into account when you start a new run and you’re short on time. In regard to movement, it has a directional wind system that the player can take advantage of, so you go faster downwind with your sail down, and at normal speed with your sail up (if you’re going upwind, for example). Or you can ignore it, and sail with your sail up constantly, which means no bonus, but no malus either if you forget to raise the sail when going upwind. Every area has a boss, or two, in which case you face only one of them, chosen at random. They are certainly hard, and, personally, I found some easier than the alternative, s…
