Cats in Cozy Rooms

I am really enjoying this game i just wish there was alot more to choose from in each theme...

Cats in Cozy Rooms has a cute art style and a range of different style options for items to place, though there aren't many choices for most individual types of item (you get one or two chair options per theme). The achievement requiring you to avoid getting full stars for each cat is a bit annoying because it's pretty easy to get full stars. I think the whole thing would feel more rewarding if there were tighter budget constraints, or requests that are harder to accommodate (maybe if items could belong to more than one range, so e.g. something is both fish and rustic, so can only be used for cats who are OK with both). The main annoyance for me was the lack of cloud saves, though; it says on the store page that it has Steam Cloud, but the game I played on my Windows laptop was not available on my Windows desktop. All in all it's cute and not very demanding, and I enjoyed doing a level or two between other tasks.

While the gameplay on this is fun, even with its simplicity, I got a bug that locked down house #11 (out of 15) so I'm only able to complete 2/3 of the game, and it looks like a couple other people have gotten this same bug, but the devs haven't done any updates, so that's frustrating. For the $2 sale price I paid for it, I'm still ok with just having what I played, but warning to others that you may not be able to finish this one! If they do fix this bug, then I would recommend this game, but without this being fixed, I can really only recommend it if you get it at a really good discount like i did

Fun little game that doesn't take long to complete. Most items only have two orientations so it makes placing things a bit awkward. Still, ran fine, didn't cost much and I enjoyed the various different jobs I was tasked with. Ran just fine. There's an option to "transform" items, unsure what this function is. I couldn't get lights to turn on and if it's supposed to cycle through the available colors once you'd bought item, it wasn't working. You have a budget but I never got close to running out of money for the clients. Even putting in more items than the limited number to finish a project, especially once you unlock the 3rd and final group of cats. So yeah, fun game, nice to do when unwinding before bed or listening to a pod cast.

I first found this on the Switch and didn't care for it. I think it was the controls. Playing it again here is a joy. Very relaxing and a true hidden gem on steam.
