About Ceville
The mean cruel cold blooded tyrant Ceville ruthlessly rules the beautiful kingdom of Faeryanis. Or rather, he used to rule the beautiful kingdom of Faeryanis, until the brave people revolted against his regime and drove him out of the palace.
The kindhearted queen Gwendolyn did step up to reign over the land with a council of noble and wise advisors.. It seems that this story could end just like any other fairy tale: "And they lived happily ever after..." But no, that's not quite right. Because another evil rises within the land. The treacherous Basilus — counsellor of Gwendolyn and of Ceville before her — plans to take the crown and torture the realm with the help of murderous beasts he has summoned from the planes of eternal darkness.
All seems lost! But hope resides with the one most unlikely person imaginable to save the kingdom and restore peace to the realm: Ceville, the realm's former despotic ruler...
Ceville
The ancient ruler of Faeryanis and spare-time tyrant, is dreaming up evil plans to exact his revenge on his former counsellor and servant Basilus, who betrayed him.
Ambrosius
The noble and somewhat self-important knight Ambrosius is Ceville's would-be-nemesis. He constantly attempts to capture Ceville — but usually with little success. Will they both team up to fight a greater evil?
Lilly
The gentle and kind girl Lilly is rather an improbable choice to team up with Ceville. Never the less she helps him to escape for the good of the realm (at least that's what SHE thinks!)
This game will give you an impression of what happens, when you mix up the setting and humour of Shrek, Discworld and the Monkey Island series.

Great game, colorful and fun, with amazing voicing, and very unhinged humor sometimes(I absolutely loved it). Lots of random pop-culture and fairytale references you don't expect. It's pretty logical but a couple of times made me stuck in the story because some items are really small or blend with the surroundings(so some pixelhunting happened). LOTS of funny dialogs and descriptions. Totally worth a try if you're into point and click games3 found this helpful

This is a fun and entertaining game. Easy pace and not scary or demoniic. (if that's a word) I enjoyed the fact that it was a cute non violent,killing game yet not juvenile for us older point and click "clickers"!!1 found this helpful
Game did not age well, so many bugs making it hard to enjoy. Had a lot of crashes.. I can't recommend Ceville but I can recommend The Book of Unwritten Tales/ I still didn't finish the game but I hope I'm almost there I finished still a no1 found this helpful
Love it. Head basher puzzles, LOL well either that or I'm crap. Ran great, shame it cant go higher in the gfx selection settings, but really, a good game so far, not had a stutter or drop nor a crash. I swear i just had a quick look to see and ended up 2hr on this instead of doing the garden ; )
I'll be frank. It's old. Very VERY old. Most of the joke references are outdated. The story is simple enough. Your advisor has turned against you and plots to overthrow the kingdom. The journey itself however isn't all that interesting. At times it feels like a slog-fest. The bugs are TERRIBLE! This is the main problem. Cutscenes and credits won't show. The game has crashed and closed down on me more ways than one. I got locked into the first Theatre stage mini-game, couldn't escape and had to restart my whole PC as a result! Completing the coffee machine tasks was hell!!! Regardless, the puzzles are surprisingly tricky. I do enjoy the music, quirky characters and voice-work which was brought to the table here. Ceville brings a sort of snarky, devilish charm with the whole "main character is the villain" trope. His mischief and witty banter is what makes the game funny. It's not bad per say, being a fairy-tale casual point & click. Though part of me wonders...would Ceville have been a much better game (especially with it's wacky cast) as a fantasy, adventure platformer like Crash Bandicoot? Definitely a product of it's time. Despite it's faults, the game still gained positive …
