RPG Maker strikes again! Charlotte: Dragon Slayer is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. The game is a painfully generic, very lazy effort, with a linear adventure line. It's so comically bad, you can collect gold from enemies, but the developer didn't bother putting in any shops, so... you get the idea. RPG Maker asset flip trash. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro …5 found this helpful
Achievement wont work even after beating the game. Valkyrie nemesis is the same way. Pretty much you have 4 choices - Chose one of 4 rooms in level , dig - pray or not , Open chest and you can reroll for gold if that thing isnt what you want 5times per chest , Equip and dispose instead of unequip. Its trash. If you want to beat it - get best gear for Charlotte , skills - sleeping touch , run over , blood ivy. And also fight a lot of fighting to increase lvl for overall stats. If i were to describe the loop - You in hell beating enemies , getting lucky on opening chests over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over. Untill reaching and defeating the Dragon.4 found this helpful
Charlotte: Dragon Slayer, developed by Succubella Games and published by Angel And Demons, is a roguelike RPG that blends classic pixel art aesthetics with challenging turn-based combat. Players step into the role of Charlotte, a determined soldier from the Kingdom of Artolia, who embarks on a perilous journey to confront a massive dragon threatening her homeland. The game’s premise, inspired by Norse mythology and traditional fantasy tropes, provides a straightforward but compelling narrative framework that drives players through procedurally generated dungeons teeming with enemies, traps, and treasure. Each run feels unique due to the randomization, emphasizing skill, strategy, and adaptability. The core gameplay of Charlotte: Dragon Slayer revolves around exploration and tactical combat. Players traverse a variety of dungeon layouts, encountering different enemy types that require careful planning and strategic use of skills. The turn-based combat system allows players to weigh each action, deciding between offensive attacks, defensive maneuvers, or using special abilities. While the mechanics are relatively simple, the roguelike elements add layers of depth, as every encounter…1 found this helpful
