About Chase Survivors
Are you able to wait for 15 minutes until the rescue arrives, right?
In the epicenter of a zombie apocalypse with little hope of making it out alive, grab everything you find along the way: weapons, coins, first aid kits, treasure chests, experience items, and even a four-leaf clover is important to bring luck in times like these.

The living beings around you are now abominations infected by some malevolent pathogen. They will relentlessly chase you as you await the arrival of the rescue helicopter. All you have left is to bless all these creatures with the hell of bullets you have to offer.

Collect as much experience as possible, as this way your character evolves, acquires new weapons, and obtains essential passive items for survival. Gathering coins is also crucial as it allows you to purchase permanent skill item upgrades.

Its a rare thing to get so much fun for "less than a coffee"! "Chase Survivor" triggers much: + PSX aesthetics, and that's something I like very much, because I grew up with those first 3D graphics on your TV screen + smooth roguelike-survivor gameplay with many weapons and descent shooting + different enemies inspired by the survival-horror games you might love and remember, like the hellhounds or, of course, the zombies The arenas in "Chase Survovor" are small and rectangular, which might be look limited at first, but is more than enough for the fun gameplay. Will definitely play until that chopper arrives for the first time, because surviving here is as difficult as it was in the first "Resident Evil" :) !
At one point I basically became Satoru Gojo and enemies couldn't even get near me, except between us was not an infinte amount of space but a barrage of bullets, missilies, toxic gas, knives, katanas and chainsaws. 10/10. Sure, it's not the most deep or polished of its genre but it's still very fun and has a good amount of both replayability, with different unique characters you can select, and variety with many enemy types, each with its own traits. And of course there's the 90s aesthetic that makes it really stand out and that, having grown up in those years, I personally love. Chase Survivors, developed and published by Minicactus Games, is a top-down roguelike action shooter built around a simple but gripping idea: survive for fifteen minutes against relentless waves of monsters. It’s a stripped-down experience that cuts away everything but the essentials—no exposition, no cinematic preamble, and no pauses between the chaos. The player is dropped into an apocalyptic battlefield and given one task: endure. This minimalist premise is both the game’s strength and its defining characteristic, providing a direct and visceral sense of engagement. Every session becomes a desperate fight to stay alive as the hordes close in, testing reflexes, awareness, and adaptability. It’s a familiar formula to fans of survival roguelikes, yet Chase Survivors manages to carve its own identity through pacing, atmosphere, and mechanical tension. The game’s structure revolves around tight fifteen-minute runs, during which players fight off increasingly intense swarms of enemies while collecting experience orbs and upgrading their arsenal. These runs are designed to be short and addictive, encouraging multiple attempts in a single session. The longer you survive, the denser and…
This is another great game from Minicactus Games, Vampire Survivor combined with Resident Evil from PlayStation 1 with graphic styles, abilities, insane hordes, 10/10.
Presentation is great, I love the CRT PS1 feel of it and the soundtrack is great. Unfortunately, that's where the good things end. Almost all of the weapons are laughably bad (and there's less than 10 guns) and all of the xp upgrades do little difference unless you focus into one, and even then it matters nowhere near as much as the weapon in your hand, which is purely RNG based, and with only like 2 viable weapons, you're gonna die a lot to unavoidable deaths. With all of my playtime, I still can't get more than 3-4 minutes into a run without it throwing a horde of overpowered enemies with even the stat boosts from spending coins earned in the game not being enough to counteract the enemies shown. Even for the price I paid for this (under a dollar), it's too boring, frustrating, and repetitive to be worth your time. The last dev post was also in 2023, so I don't see any of this changing. I'm stupid and am gonna try to 100% this game and will update the review if my opinions change. TL;DR skip this one, too many good games in this genre for this to have it's place
