Really good for learning lines, and the flexability it gives is extremely nice. It allows you to easily learn your preferred lines for any scenario.

"Chess Opening Repertoire Builder" is barely a game, it's more of a Chess tutorial (game adjacent, I guess) that, while it might help you with Chess openings, seems to be more of an advertisement for the developers $20 Chess game on Steam. Now, you can play Chess for free, so I have a few issues with people trying to charge money for it on Steam... it seems to be a bit of a waste of people's time. And that's not just me, gamers rejected this on Steam (player counts below). What do you do in the game? Not much in the way of gameplay... this is more of a software app that explores various Chess decision trees. But opening game only... imagine putting a Chess game on Steam you can't even play Chess on. $20 for the full product. For gameplay purposes, because the user interface for this game is mostly just 2D static text/images... it might as well be a web page. It's functionally no different from a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers on PC. Not bad, but would be far better if it caught transpositions. The people saying "just go to chess.com" are obviously unaware that chess.com sucks. They *meant* to type "go to lichess.org" which offers all the same features without a paywall.* You're welcome. [*Although I *am* voluntarily a lichess paying patron because I was able to do unlimited trainings even before I paid them, unlike chess.com which gives you a "generous" five training problems a day before the paywall.]

For all chess lovers this is the great game for strategic tactics in chess, learning new openings and using in real chess. Also you can instantly play with AI from position of opening.
