Chester: Into The Light

It's a good game and all that, I enjoyed it for the most part and the puzzles were "ok" I guess. Night 1's decent, everything's understandable and pretty simple to understand on what you're supposed to do, though for a first mission I feel that where I found the cheese was a bit of an awkward spot, as it was never really mentioned you could walk up areas like that prior. Night 2 was fun, though the drowning part seemed a bit "yikes" as there's no room for failure (despite it being a simple colour code puzzle). The game still managed to fail me despite me completing the puzzle, as the water fills the room quite quickly for the space in the room. Night 3 I actually despised, the concepts simple, burn the fuel in the fireplace, close the blinds on the other entity. Though seeing as you spend quite a lot of time doing both of those, you never really get much time to look for fuels in different areas, and by the time you find something you run out of time to get to the papers/wood in the fireplace, let alone get the key to get to the attic. Night 4 was borderline tedious. Starts off with a pretty decent idea, Find out where the squirrel is by listening to the doors and scare off …

Pretty underrated game. Has some RNG nonsense and brightness could be improved,but good quality all the same.

Finally got round to live streaming! I had a lot of fun with this one. It has unique moments. Certain parts of each dream had it's own difficulty. My favourite was Grandma's House & last part of St Anthony's even though both took me goodness how many attempts. I am glad to see Into the darkness! I'll be keeping an eye on that one too. I just completed this game, took me over 8 hours. But all I can say is its worth it!

I have to start with stating, "Not my kind of game" Try it yourself and see if you like it. The Good: -Pretty game Graphically -Great audio quality -Good story The Bad: -*Monotonous* -Repetitive -Keybindings are not my style -Disdain motion blur (I understand why the Dev kept it as it contributes to the atmosphere) -Audio cues and quick time events can be a little much (repetitive) I would consider it a game that is tedious. Time limited puzzles with a tight window to complete the challenge, (memorize the timings and paths) do it over and over until you complete. I would say if you like to practice speed running, finding the most efficient route, this game is for you, never stop running, no need for walking! I made it to level 3 part 2, and saw what it would take to memorize the pattern for completion of that part of the game. Looked like it would take about an hour to prefect the run. Decided not to proceed with the game, and went for the refund. Not my kind of game, but don't let that stop you from trying it to see for yourself.

Took a LONG time to get to this, but the game is phenomenal. Even just getting into the first chapter I was terrified, and every chapter is different from the last. There's hours and hours of gameplay and I haven't finished the final chapter yet but it's looming over my shoulder... Would definitely recommend this game to anyone who's gotten tired of the same old thing.
