About CHEXS
CHEXS is a simultaneous turns strategy game developed by the creators of Qvadriga. It uses chess pieces moving in a hexagonal board where both players could give orders to all of their pieces and all of these movements are processed and solved simultaneously. While the final goal is still to defeat the opponent's king, the pieces could compete for occupy an hexagon or support each other in combined attacks. This creates fast pacing games with dynamic fronts.
Alonside a proficient AI, the game features an open matchmaking system and also the possibility to play private online matches.
The pieces move as follows:

The pieces move as follows:
- The Pawn move (and capture) to one of the three hexes towards the enemy side.
- The Rook can move to a hex around, but if it is not moved then it is invulnerable.
- The Horse jumps above near pieces, two hexes in a straight line.
- The Bishop moves two hexes, or just one if another piece occupy the second hex.
- The Queen moves one hex, in case of a tie in a struggle her side wins.
- The King moves one hex and game is over if he is captured.

cant connect to multiplayer server, comes up with an error and the game kinda sucks 2/10. off the top of my head i can think of 5 other types of chess i would rather play normal portal 3d pikmin chess, game i invented in table top simulator and chesskers a game you play when you don't have all the chess pieces and you replace them with checkers7 found this helpful
EDIT (2020-09-30): THE MULTIPLAYER SERVER HAS BEEN FIXED!! You won't find many people online, so finding a random match isn't likely to be very successful. But private matches work flawlessly. If you have a friend who owns this game, or know someone who might like this game, you should have no trouble playing private matches against them. And this game really comes into its own when you are playing against a human. I kicked my brother's butt in our first test match, and (after he played the tutorial) he kicked my butt in our second match. There is real strategy in this game when you up against a thinking and learning human being. EDIT (2020-09-28): It's possible that they have fixed the multiplayer server. I can't confirm since I still haven't successfully loaded a multiplayer match yet. But I am not getting the error message I used to get. Instead it is endlessly searching for a multiplayer game, suggesting that perhaps the server is working fine now and that the problem now is that there isn't anyone else online to connect with. I will need to test this by seeing if I can start a private match between myself and a friend. It's a good game. It would be a great game if they just …4 found this helpful
A "modification" of chess. To me it was very confusing and I really missed some difficultly levels because while I know how to play chess, I am not good at it so this was just unplayable to me. I guess it could be potentially interesting for someone who is decent at it.2 found this helpful

CHEXS is an attempt to migrate Chess to a 5 hex per side hex board instead of an 8x8 grid. Unsatisfied with screwing with the basic format of chess, they decided to turn it into a simultaneous resolution turn based strategy, because... actually there's no good reason to do that. There's bugs. Online multiplayer is dead. This isn't as good as Chess. You can play that for free in a web browser. There's huge online Chess tournaments that you can play in for free. If you are pro at regular 2D chess try hexagonal chess. However if you have no idea on how to play, get ready to get rekt by the hexchess AI bot xD1 found this helpful
