About Chicken Police: Into the HIVE!
Sonny and Marty, the Wilderness's toughest detectives, are about to embark on the biggest case of their lives, which will take them through the insect underworld and force them to face the darkest reaches of their past.
The soul of the game is the characters that bring it to life. There are over 30 deeply fleshed-out characters to talk to, all of them handcrafted, animated, and 100% voice-acted. The Wilderness is a world with a history that goes back thousands of years and is full of fascinating facts and mysteries. Explore the city of Clawville and, with it, its anthropomorphic inhabitants' colorful cultures, traditions, desires, and fears.
You're in for a story that will affect the fate of a whole city, even the whole world, and yet it's also very intimate, and "human." Murder, betrayal, conspiracy, loss, friendship, and love await you in this dramatic and absurd adventure.
- Meet more than 30 fully dubbed characters
- Explore the city and its 35+ locations freely
- Collect clues, analyze evidence, and interrogate suspects
- Solve problems in different ways, sometimes with different outcomes
- Focus on the main mission or lose yourself in a sea of side quests
- Play the story over and over again to discover all its hidden secrets
- Gather more than 20 cutscenes and a fully original soundtrack
- Bring some color to the mean streets of Clawville with Technicolour mode!
- Prove you’re the hardest cock in the Wilderness!
Amidst a mound of misery and oppression, they stumble upon a worldwide conspiracy as they struggle with their own demons. The question is: will they remain "human" in the end? Or will they have to go WILD to set the world straight again?
The 'World of Wilderness' is a world and a brand, home to many different stories across multiple ages, and is constantly growing.
What Steam players say

Players appreciate Chicken Police: Into the HIVE for its witty writing, beautiful art style, and engaging noir detective story with charming anthropomorphic characters, with particular praise for character development and the continuation of the first game's narrative. The main complaints center on the game being more of an interactive movie with minimal puzzle-solving or meaningful choices, some pacing issues with lengthy dialogue followed by a rushed ending, and a somewhat predictable mystery, though most still consider it a worthwhile sequel for fans of the original.

Great story, a bit buggy but very cool1 found this helpful
The sequel improves on the original in almost every way. The minigames are far more polished, the interrogation mechanics make much more sense, and the biggest improvement for me is the addition of a full color mode. My only criticism is that some conversations feel a bit too long1 found this helpful
This compelling noir tale of conspiracies and gang warfare makes Chicken Police: Into the HIVE! a great addition to the World of Wilderness saga. As a visual novel with adventure game elements, the gameplay has something for fans of both genres to enjoy. Added all up, the experience left me wanting to see more of the fowl detective duo. But if game is to be their last, it is a fitting end to their story with an emotional roller coaster that has them in danger at every turn a dark alley. There isn’t much challenge and the insects are unsettling, but if you can suspend disbelief in a city full of anthropomorphic animal-headed characters, there’s a great detective noir story here to enjoy. https://adventuregamehotspot.com/review/6867/chicken-police-into-the-hive1 found this helpful
I randomly stumbled upon the first game on PS+ (when I used to have it) and thought the game looked charming so I gave it a go. I fell in love with the world, style, voice acting, writing, music and story! Into the HIVE did everything the first game did but better! It even added a bunch of fun minigames throughout and had me engaged from start to finish. If you like mystery games with quirky and witty writing and a noir theme this one's for you!
I usually don’t leave reviews, but my God, man.................WHAT THE CLUCKIN’ HELL was that ending? The fourth and fifth chapters of the game made no cluckin sense. What was the point of the hatchery flashback scene? What was the point of the hospital scene? And there is much, much more that, quite frankly, I cannot even be bothered to list because of how disappointed I am. I genuinely thought you guys were building up to something crazy throughout Chapters one to three. It felt like all the pieces were slowly falling into place and leading toward some massive payoff. But then you guys dropped the ball, cut off mine, and shoved them down my throat. Your first game was truly something special. Sure, it was rough around the edges, but it was unforgettable. I played it at a point in my life when games had genuinely become boring, and Paint It Red was the first game I had fully completed in ages. It helped me love games again. I remember staying up late at night just to play the damn thing. Compared to the first game, this one is a total sham. I was one of those fans eagerly waiting to buy it, and I bought it on day one (or at least sometime around the initial release. I had the…
