About Close Contact
Close Contact is a short (approx 1-1.5 hours), sci-fi horror game where the player must navigate an advanced underground base whilst occasionally avoiding the alien creature that stalks you.
As a new employee of the mega corporation Abbotsfield Corp, you have arrived on Cadmus, a planet far from Earth. Once home to an ancient alien civilization, you have been sent to support the research team. However, upon waking from your long cryo sleep, you discover that something has gone horribly, fatally wrong in the base beneath the surface.
Set in the distant future, advanced contact lenses are now commonplace, and are used as one of the main forms of computing. Owing to the specific light frequency emitted, the alien inside the base is able to sense when you are nearby. Your only hope for survival is to keep your eyes closed and not get too close.

Nice exploration game with poorly executed puzzles. Thumbs up if you like walking sims or exploration games but get it on sale. If you get stuck watch below (spoilers): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cr-jzRMAizw4 found this helpful
If you're a fan of short but sweet, tense horror games, Close Contact is well worth your time. The game takes place in an eerie underground base, with a short section on a dense alien world. Close Contact has a clever mechanic whereby you have to close your eyes with the left mouse button to avoid being hunted by a genuinely scary creature. Of course, this makes navigation tricky, and can lead to some heart-stopping jump scares. All of this is complemented by an excellent, atmospheric soundtrack. Of course, being primarily developed by one person, there are a few rough edges. But overall Close Contact is a great little game at a fantastic price point that never outstays its welcome, and shouldn't be missed by fans of sci-fi horror games like Soma.2 found this helpful
I am a new gamer and enjoyed this game. The beginning has you floating in space which was fun. Then getting to explore the lab area has been enjoyable so far. Looking forward to playing more of this game and others from this team.1 found this helpful
buggy mess, playing on top hardware and it keeps stuttering, shame as the game looks cool but its unplayable. ryzen 7 5700x nvidia geforce rtx 4060ti 32GB DDR4 ram.
Short game, but was interesting to play. Has a few good puzzles that took me a bit to figure out. A bit of trial and error when getting away or past some enemies. I think this is fair price for a short game.

In order to get rid of the aliens the player is tasked with returning the egg that was taken from the caves. In the base the player will need to complete a few puzzles, while avoiding the aliens. The aliens on the base are attracted to the players eyes and will need to close them to avoid the aliens attacking them. Through the cybernetic eyes the player is able to see an AI world when their eyes are closed. In the AI world the player has glowing lines leading the player around the base. The AI world has a lot of virtual animals and plants that make the AI world feel alive. The player is easily able to get through the b…
