Comit the Astrodian 2, developed and published by LunarCore Games, is a retro-inspired 2D action platformer that embraces the design philosophy of classic arcade-era titles while refining the mechanics introduced in its predecessor. As a direct sequel, it continues the adventures of Comit, a rocket-powered hero whose high-speed traversal and energetic combat define the core of the experience. Rather than attempting to modernize the genre with cinematic storytelling or sprawling open worlds, the game doubles down on tight movement, compact level design, and straightforward arcade progression. The narrative premise is simple but effective. After a brief period of peace following the events of the first game, Comit is once again called into action when a returning antagonist threatens a distant star system. The story serves primarily as a framework for the escalating stages and planetary settings that follow. Similar to the previous game, with some nice additions to add some freshness to it. Only issue I ever had was getting stuck to some parts of the map, but easy to hit the boost button to get free, never anything game breaking. Going to play #3 next!

Krater is back at it again with his evil doings. Only one person can defeat him. Comit is back in action to save the star system once more! There'll be new enemies, new planets and new mechanics to discover! At last, the red stars have a purpose in the game. I won't spoil why, but see if you can find out what they do! I'd argue Comit the Astrodian 2 is a far superior version than the original. The planets feel more unique and fun to explore, the bosses are less of pushovers, there's new, more dangerous enemies, and overall, it's a lot more difficult, which is a good thing! And of course, the great movement is still there so it's definitely a must play!
