Keyshops are third-party marketplaces — keys are resold and can be region-locked or a different edition. Check the listing's region & edition before buying.
Some stores inflate their “regular” price to show a bigger discount. We flag those (⚠ inflated) and show the real saving against the actual list price.
Some store links are affiliate links — playze may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes the price you pay, and the cheapest option is always shown in the Best price box above.

About Contain
A NEW BEGINNING: Project Genesis
Our content update in January 2026 brought a huge transformation to Contain. Whether you’re returning to the field as a seasoned operator or stepping in for the first time, you now play a reborn Contain, hence the name Genesis. With the game code written fully from scratch, Contain:Genesis pushes our operational capabilities beyond the limits. We have areas that have been rebuilt from top to bottom, visually and audibly overhauled, with increased atmospheric intensity. The mission zones you thought you knew are now far more unsettling, each shadow hiding a different threat. The improvements coming with Genesis make every moment more realistic and more tense — from how you hold your weapon to how you take each step.YOUR OPERATOR, YOUR CHOICE
Weapon Customization Contain features Gunsmith, a detailed weapon modification system. On your weapons, you have full control over:- Barrels, suppressors, optics, and grips
- Tactical attachments and accessories
- Weapon handling feel and performance
CO-OP GAMEPLAY
You can play Contain solo or form a Fire Team with up to 5 people. Role distribution within the team, synchronized movement, and clear communication play a critical role in completing missions successfully. There is zero margin for error. Friendly fire, communication breakdowns, or poor positioning can result in the entire team being wiped out. Choose your team well and practice in the renewed Training Area beforehand.GET READY, OPERATOR. THE DROP ZONE IS SET, TARGETS MARKED. TIME TO CONTAIN THE UNKNOWN.

Highly recommended. The game is very entertaining and has a great atmosphere. Weapon customization is excellent. The game as a whole needs some polishing and is definitely in early access, but if the developers continue working on it, we'll undoubtedly have a truly amazing game on our hands.1 found this helpful
To be honest, this game is quite boring, like shooting at bots with guns. The anomalies in the game are also quite tedious, uninteresting, and not scary at all. The game system has a lot of bugs, and the optimization is pretty bad. This game has nothing to offer and isn't worth buying. I recommend finding something else to play. Don't expect too much from this game.
Contain: Project Genesis aims for the tactical FPS feel of games like "Escape from Tarkov" and "Arena Breakout", but doesn’t quite land yet. Weapon customization is pleasingly flexible (you can place attachments where you want) but swapping loadouts each time you want to change gun type is tedious, even with the loadout option. Many of the attachments feel like they provide minor stat bumps rather than meaningful choices (usually only adding ergo). The weapon variety is somewhat plentiful (if you like ARs and SMGs) and seem fairly balanced with no obvious “broken” builds. Movement feels a bit stiff/slow, and the scan ability can be overwhelming (sometimes more blinding than helpful). Getting hit also adds heavy visual blur, which makes sense in theory but feels overdone in practice. I found that most of the controls in game got in the way of gameplay rather than enhancing it (scroll wheel to raise or lower gun, changing sights, inspecting weapon, etc.) and could be great QoL aspects if tweaked a little. The majority of the levels follow the "Find Item/s and Extract" objective type where the endings are quite literally a jump-scare with how abruptly they end. Levels 3 and 4 ran pr…
