Cooking Witch, developed and published by VaragtP, is an unapologetically bizarre arcade-style action game that leans heavily into absurd dark humor and simple, fast-paced mechanics. Released as a low-cost indie title, it quickly built a niche following thanks to its outrageous premise and straightforward gameplay loop. Rather than aiming for narrative depth or mechanical complexity, the game embraces shock value and repetition as its defining characteristics, delivering a deliberately over-the-top experience that feels closer to an old-school score-chasing arcade game than a modern narrative-driven title. The core concept is intentionally absurd. Players control a witch flying on her broomstick, whose primary objective is to capture targets scattered across the map and return them to her cauldron. The loop is simple: swoop down, grab, carry, and drop. Early stages ease players into the mechanics, but as sessions progress, the difficulty escalates with larger crowds, time pressure, and the introduction of armed adversaries. These enemies force players to maneuver more carefully, adding moments of chaos and urgency to what would otherwise be a straightforward collection mechanic. …1 found this helpful
Super simple, but fun gameplay.
Quick game, kept me busy for about an hour. Not much to it and would’ve loved additional levels and challenge, but for $.50, not bad.
10/10 game. Even though that the graphics looks like something from early 1990s this game is such a banger and pretty easy to grind 100% completion for while having fun. Loved every second of it, such a cool concept.
