About Couch Monsters

Cute monsters with portals in their mouths - whatever one monster eats, the other spits out!
Couch Monsters is a light-hearted Couch Co-op puzzlegame for two people. As the titular Couch Monsters you have to solve tricky physics puzzles to reach and sit down on some comfortable couches.

Communicate and solve puzzles as a team! You will have to experiment, think creatively and pull off a lot of crazy maneuvers together. Only by relying on each other can you make it through a multitude of hand crafted levels and get to these soft, soft couches. If only sabotaging your partner weren‘t sooo much fun.
Enjoy local coop fun with
- your best friend,
- your regular friend,
- your significant other,
- your sibling,
- your parents or children
- or anyone else that might like an evening of puzzles and goofs!
Just you and your Brain?
You can play Couch Monsters in its entirety in a challenging singleplayer mode. A controller is required for singleplayer mode.

Play time
Couch Monsters is perfect for one to two game nights. 30 levels, we poured our hearts into, equal about 3 to 5 hours of gameplay. As a pairing we recommend a comfortable couch and only the very best snacks.

A fascinating co-op puzzle platformer - These little guys have portals in their bellies! Puzzles get quite complex, both with thinking and with timed reflexes, might cause you to yell at each other. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh8fso9qBnI2 found this helpful
Awesome couch coop game. Simple to learn and requires only a few keys for every player, so it is easy to learn for people new to video games - but don't underestimate it, the puzzles still require some amount of problem solving skills. Artstyle and sound design is cute and unique, overall a perfect small game that deserves more attention.2 found this helpful
A great game. There are some Portal 2 vibes to it, some tricky puzzles and a nice satisfaction to beating them alongside someone you like.1 found this helpful
Really good couch-coop game! Involves both thinking and platforming skills.
Worth on a sale for the solid core mechanic and cute characters, but frankly a small and unpolished game with a measly 30 levels which must be played in sequence, whose difficulty is all over the place. Puzzle mechanics are not always appropriately introduced to the players, and the existence of a hint system proves that - Most puzzle games don't need and don't have a hint system, because when players struggle getting past a level during testing, devs can add more levels prior to it that introduce the missing information in smaller chunks. It's still fun and I do recommend playing it, but only for someone who has already played most other popular 2-player local co-op games (sadly not many of those).
Interesting puzzle mechanics, where you jump from high ledges to eat boxes, which teleport out of the other monster's mouth to gain momentum. The art is detailed and very lovingly crafted. The levels definitely get more difficult, but thankfully there is a hint system for when you're stuck. The monsters are very cute and i love that there are emotes. The best animation is definitely the jumping on the couch. It's so satisfying and never gets old :D
