About Cozy Radiation Cleaner

Cozy Radiation CleanerCozy Radiation Cleaner is a dark post-apocalyptic exploration and cleanup experience where players step into the role of a lone radiation cleaner sent into the remains of a fallen world. Armed with a radiation detector, protective equipment, and specialized cleanup tools, players must travel through contaminated zones, locate hazardous radioactive objects, and restore abandoned areas once considered impossible to survive in.Built entirely in Unreal Engine 5, the game focuses on atmosphere, immersion, environmental storytelling, and satisfying cleanup gameplay. Every location tells the story of a civilization destroyed by catastrophic radiation events, where nature, decay, and danger have consumed the world left behind.Players will explore multiple large-scale maps, each featuring unique environments, hazards, visual styles, and gameplay challenges. From destroyed cities and abandoned industrial facilities to underground laboratories, ruined suburbs, military zones, forests, and contaminated research stations, every map introduces new objectives and increasingly dangerous radiation levels.Using a handheld radiation detector, players must scan their surroundings to locate hidden radioactive materials scattered throughout the environment. Some contaminated objects are easy to detect, while others are buried beneath debris, hidden inside buildings, or protected by unstable environments. Players must carefully search each area, manage exposure levels, and clean or extract dangerous materials before the contamination spreads further. The gameplay combines:
 • Exploration
 • Radiation scanning
 • Environmental cleanup
 • Resource management
 • Hazard survival
 • Objective-based progression
 • Atmospheric world discovery
As players progress, they will unlock better cleanup equipment, advanced radiation scanners, improved protective suits, and upgraded tools that allow access to higher-risk areas with stronger contamination. Dangerous zones may contain collapsing structures, toxic air pockets, unstable reactors, electrical hazards, or heavily irradiated objects requiring specialized handling. Each map is designed with replayability in mind, encouraging players to fully explore environments, discover hidden contaminated areas, and improve cleanup efficiency. Dynamic lighting, volumetric fog, detailed environments, and realistic post-processing effects powered by Unreal Engine 5 create a tense and immersive atmosphere throughout the experience. The world of Radiation Cleaner is intentionally lonely and oppressive. Players are not heroes fighting monsters — they are survivors performing one of the most dangerous jobs left in humanity’s final days. Every cleaned area represents hope, recovery, and a small step toward rebuilding civilization.Key Features:
 • Multiple large post-apocalyptic maps
 • Radiation detection and cleanup mechanics
 • Immersive atmospheric exploration
 • Unreal Engine 5 visuals and lighting
 • Dynamic environmental storytelling
 • Progressive equipment upgrades
 • Hazardous contaminated zones
 • Realistic radiation scanning gameplay
 • Dark cinematic presentation
 • Detailed ruined environments
 • Survival-focused gameplay systems
 • Hidden radioactive object searching
 • Satisfying cleanup progression loop
Radiation Cleaner aims to deliver a unique combination of exploration, tension, and environmental restoration within a haunting post-nuclear world where every signal from your detector could lead to danger — or salvation.

Strange idea that’s fun for a few minutes if you treat it as a casual experience. There are three stages, but you have to start with the first one and progress through them in order. Once you finish them, you can replay any stage whenever you want. All three stages are small and built from pre-made assets, and you can finish the game in about half an hour. Although there are no tutorials, it’s immediately clear that you’re supposed to look for contaminated objects. You do this by following the radiation detector in your hand, which uses a hot and cold mechanic. In other words, the device beeps faster and the numbers increase as you get closer to an object, then slow down and decrease as you move away. The detection range is decent, so you can pick up a signal from several feet away. While the total number of objects isn’t shown, a progress bar fills up with each collected item. The objects are everyday items such as tools, gas tanks, coffee pots, and various pieces of junk. There are no visual clues or waypoints, so the only way to find an item is to get as close as possible, inspect everything, and repeatedly press the interaction button until you collect it. Most of the time, …

The game has are unique and interesting idea. It has a lot of potential, but it currently feels a bit unfinished and needs more polish. I hope to see more updates in the future because the concept is really cool. ⭐️⭐️⯪☆☆ 2.5/5

A hot-cold finding items game with a geiger counter. Flawed in many ways, seems more like a project someone clicked together in Unreal Engine from store bought / free assets, probably because that is just what it is. I received this game for free as a curator.

The Good:

The Neutral:

The game is going for an art style, I just dont think it is executed well, but that might be down to POV, so I'll score it as neutral.

The Bad:

German translation is very rough.
No options for mouse sensitivity.
Invisible walls in the middle of the map.
Very narrow FOV, not changeable.
Managed to get hard-stuck TWICE on map 2, without the possibility of making it out again, had to restart the map, both times losing all progress on the map...
While falling down the air from the light house walking sounds play..
The Geigercounter is not legible in many places on map 3.
Many floating objects on map 3.

Im on a quest of at least trying every game in my library, of which I got plenty from all kinds of bundles and gifts. If you are interested in my journey, check …
