Crimson Dawn

This game leaves a lot to be desired but for less than 1 euro it's okay. Shame the developer left it in early acess and released it as it is. There are a few bugs here and there, nothing too serious. The biggest problem is the lack of content. With only 3 maps, 5 characters and the overall repetitive grindy nature it's definitely not for everyone. On the flipside it doesn't take that long to beat.

Not recommended - it has the same core issues as every single game in the genre - uselessly short pick up range, weapons that do not even close to enough damage, utter repetitiveness, forced to lose unless you use certain broken weapons while the rest are borderline useless and being at the mercy of the unreliable level up upgrade system to give you the bare minimum to survive. Case to point, after a couple of easy-ish waves on the first level already the game suddenly spawns nigh-unkillable mole enemies have a high likelihood of killing you even if you maxed out your starter weapons. NEAT. This game adds extra annoyances such as enemies spawning next to you and item drops stopping after a certain point. Also the health of the basic enemies is increased over time despite zero changes in their looks. You are not really getting stronger as the game progresses and instead you are given an unreliable level up upgrade mechanic that allows you to slightly remove some of your power restrictions. Crimson Dawn is a fun but basic survivors like. It's pretty clear that this game was left unfinished and you can feel it as you play. It doesn't add anything new to the genre but what is here is entertaining enough if you just want to play basic bullet heaven mechanics. I like that the hub is a little town but again it feels like there was to be more content here that simply doesn't exist. I had fun with what is available in the game. I got it on a deep discount for about .60 cents. I'd recommend this game if you can get it for super cheap as it will give you a few hours of entertainment. I would not recommend it at full price.

Perhaps even discontinued, because there is only two unique level and the third one while looks significantly better, there is heavily copied elements from Vampire Survivors, and there is a strange to explain unorganized chaotic atmosphere. Overall this is one of the most generic or even basic Hordes Like game out there, and the only reason it slips into the bottom of my recommended category, is because the price is actually really low. So if you are looking for something new to shake up one of your afternoon, and the game is on a sale, its possible you will like it for a few hours.
