Features
- Ship control - You have full control over the direction and acceleration of your ship, to captain it wherever you would like to explore;
- Naval artillery & warfare - Load the cannons, adjust the pitch and yaw, then fire at will! You will need to be strategic with the timing and trajectory of your cannon fire, to ensure that you sink your opponents before they sink you;
- Day and night - The lighting and mood changes depending on the time of day;
- Weather - The weather changes randomly. A Sunny afternoon can be interrupted by a thick fog, or heavy rain. Just be careful to watch where you're going or you might scuttle your ship in shallow waters;
- Time trial - Race through checkpoints to best your previous scores on a time trial course;
- Ship simulation - Your ship's buoyancy moves with the sea, which provides a uniquely new experience.

The atmosphere of being on your own little pirate ship is well executed here. The feeling of moving with the ocean feels spot on and I did not experience any nausea from this. The day and night cycles as well as the fog also add to this atmosphere and add some variance to the gameplay tactics. Graphically the game is nice to look at with some nice design details and i quite like the stylistic and somewhat miniature aesthetic. The interactions with the cannons feels nice and responsive. Having to physically load the cannon balls into the cannon at first may seem a chore but in fact becomes a core tactical element as you must use any reprieve to ensure all cannons are loaded and ready to go for the next engagement. After a short while you will be surprised at the satisfaction from preparing and firing the cannons within seconds. There is also a time trial mode for when you want a break from the stress of combat. On a technical note i didn't notice any drops in fps and runs smoothly on my GTX 970. Overall i have enjoyed playing Cutlass on a pick up and play basis.14 found this helpful
One of the worst Vive games i have seen in my time. The space expectaion is high, the turning is awfully slow, and the sinking animation require work.12 found this helpful
