Pre-game completion atm | ** Completed room 1,2,3,7- some puzzles I took screenshots of and did elsewhere in my free time & haven't been added to my total hours |, but I know what I'm in for Highly recommend for anyone that loves cryptography or ones that are interested in the idea. Mono gives a bit of nostalgia and is usually the area you'll find if you're in or out imo, willing to sit with your notepad and some patience I would plead the case to others or new people that it's worth sticking through to solve things out for yourself and the experience. Don't be pressured to expect to "just know" things and stress yourself out if it's not something you actively practice/do Generally no one is naturally incapable of learning anything, just be willing to break down and rebuild what you believe and think. Consider it a project, not a story game and try avoid joining the list of ai reviewers with 10-90minute completion times. Unless you just buy things for achievements

This game does not provide the knowledge needed to solve most puzzles I tried, often requiring prier knowledge to solve them. Which to me kind of defeats the purpose of learning cryptography using a game as you need to look it up anyway. I really want to like this game as it introduces new ways of thinking for me but falls flat on the execution. I would only recomend this game if you already have prier knowledge of cryptography otherwise you will need to do a tonne of research for well over half the total puzzles. I struggled with the puzzles I did complete as the game does not give you all of the tools needed to solve everything.

I was prepared to get a lecture over a puzzle game but still, this game feels worse than reading a textbook because there's nothing to learn from...

I see how much thought and passion was put into this game. If you are into cryptography, you should play this, otherwise this game is very difficult for a casual player. I am guilty of not solving a single puzzle past stage 1. 🫣

I don't believe any people solved the whole game by their own, or not 99.9999% of people. Some hints are even more confusing for someone doesn't already know the answer, and the answer is stupidly quirky and specific, and it wouldn't take a dumbass to know the answer after he knows the specific quirk. Sometimes you can solve a puzzle within 5 minutes but the next one will take 5 hours and you have tracked every pixel placement of the puzzle and still got no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue, because of that specific quirk. It's like that famous avgn example, in Castlevania 2, you must carry an orb to a place then kneel for a set of time, then a tornado out of nowhere will carry you to the next stage, very fun, very intelligent of you to figure that out. It only adds frustration when you find out the stupid secret. Maybe that's because I don't have prior knowledge to cryptology or whatnot. Not single player friendly, no pattern learning practice, not beginner friendly.

achievements are kind of broken 😢there's not enough guidance for many puzzles to satisfyingly figure out a starting point from ingame clues only. some QoL changes would greatly improve gameplay (copyable ciphertext, builtin text editor). game concept itself is fun, it's just pulled off in too tedious a way to recommend
