I really wanted to like this game, truly, and I did at first, but then I played cipher 37, which reads "roses are red, violets are blue, I'm schizophrenic and so am I." As someone with both a psychosis spectrum disorder (not going to say which) and Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly known as "multiple personality disorder", but hasnt been called that since the 90s), this joke makes both of my disorders the butt of the joke, and it was really dissapointing to see. Schizophrenia doesn't result in "multiple personalities" more often called alters, unless as a delusion which is significantly different to being an entire differetn person. The "voices" we often are described to hear arent literal other alter's voices in our head, they are often external and often intusive voices that say the opposite to what we feel, random or repeated phrases, or sometimes ramble incoherently. Compared to my experience with DID where alters have coherent thought patterns, behavoiurs, wants, needs, goals, feelings, preferences, etc. The way people with psychosis sometimes suddenly change into believing a different version of events or reality is something entirely different to having alters which …1 found this helpful
Pretty good for timepass, nice game
For a free game, I believe the concept is great, as well as the design! You get very interesting quotes, and have fun guessing which it could be. :)
it's free and it's nice for killing time. quite good for stimulating my brain to guess words that you actually know but when there are only 1 or 2 vows there i usually get them wrongly at first. but it gets better. so its kinda fun for me.
This is another great time-waster game based on a concept we have all tried back when we were little. Pretending to be a spy and decrypting/encoding messages has crossed anyone's mind at one point or another, so being able to do that within this game is refreshing. In an over-saturated genre filled with mainstream puzzle-types, being able to experience something that is 'new' in the Steam store is awesome. Although I have not currently obtained the DLC packs which center on differing topics, the base game is challenging enough to not feel tiring after 10 cycles. I do like how each pack encompasses a different theme, choosing the most straightforward theme for the base game: Quotes. A minor gripe of mine, although this could be user error, is every few puzzles or so the screen tends to freeze as it transitions to the completion window. This occurance would happen for roughly 15s and did annoy me. I did also notice the window had some unaligned graphics when you pup-up the menu or settings. All-in-all, its a great game that is refreshing after only seeing an ocean of simple point and click games or image-based puzzle games.
Thank you for a wonderful (and free!) game based on my favorite newspaper puzzle! I loved the cozy atmosphere, and that I can play this game on 'nightmare' difficulty.
