About Daedalus
DEMO AVAILABLE NOW! -------------->
Please be sure to check the demo out so you know that this is the game for you! The journey into labyrinth is unforgiving but has many lessons to teach those who are willing to learn. You will die, you will start again, but this is no Sisyphean task. The afterlife awaits you, go earn your place.
You are a poor recently lost soul. Expecting Charon and the River Styx, you instead awaken in a cold dark dungeon greeted by Daedalus himself. What cruel fate is this? Before you lay three ornate weapons, a shortbow, a labrys, and a staff. Dormant elemental runes scatter the surface of each weapon, what hidden powers do they hold?
Hades, driven mad by the endless horde of the dead whom he must steward, has devised a new trial in order to allow only the greatest of souls into the afterlife. One must demonstrate mastery with all four elements to unlock the inner chambers, and only within will they be truly tested. Will you emerge victorious, or will you spend eternity wandering the winding halls.
By choosing a weapon, you take on the abilities of the Archer, the Guardian, or the Oracle. Each has a unique set of elemental powers, unlocked through imbuing the weapon along the journey into the Labyrinth.
Defeat the elemental Titans to imbue your weapon. Demonstrate your skill on challenge bosses to upgrade your abilities. With your build set, take on the inner chamber final bosses and earn your rightful place in the afterlife.
Built in speedrunning timers and splits.
Detailed individual and aggregate stats with embedded comparisons to watch your skill grow.
Daedalus is the culmination of a 6-month challenge that I set out for myself. It was an incredible learning experience and I feel extremely grateful that I have something to present at the end! I really hope you find it fun, and that it brings you some joy! ♥

This game is super mechanically satisfying and the boss fights are some of the most fun I've had in 18 years of gaming. Highly recommend picking it up, especially if you enjoy a challenge.3 found this helpful
I can honestly say, I feel like this game is going somewhere. I've been playing it since private beta, and have had the pleasure of testing, troubleshooting, and seeing it grow. I remember when this game was brought to my attention, and I was asked to help if I could. And when I first booted it up, I thought "Oh this is pixel art? ez..." and was not at all prepared for the mental gauntlet this game put me through. I struggled against it for a good while until I started taking this game seriously and changed my approach. In the testing process, there was a boss encounter, and I was thinking I could just throw myself at it (because I was still underestimating it) and catch a W. Paid for that with fat L's left and right. I had to slow down, think, pay attention, and study. Not at all something I expected from this game. Boss had mechanics I was overlooking. There are footsies and frame data in this game! Started to test my character’s own abilities against the boss in various scenarios. Had to use my abilities and stop FORGETTING to use them lol. Found little nuggets that made it easier, until I eventually stomped a mud hole in that boss. Grinding through that process was by far th…3 found this helpful
I'm really enjoying this game! It's challenging for sure, but the boss mechanics are fun and I'm determined to beat them all! The art is really cute, and I really like seeing the graves marking my progress as I explore further and further each time I jump back in! The music is awesome , and I like seeing the stats at the end of each round so I can see if I improved! You can really tell that the developer put their heart into the game! I challenge you to see how fast you can beat this game!1 found this helpful
Daedalus is an energetic action roguelike that blends Greek mythology, twin-stick shooting, and bullet hell combat into a fast-moving dungeon crawler focused heavily on replayability and survival. Developed and published by silly little games, the title places players inside a dangerous labyrinth after death itself becomes corrupted under the rule of Hades. Instead of peacefully entering the afterlife, souls are forced into violent trials where survival depends on mastering weapons, magical abilities, and relentless combat encounters. The game clearly takes inspiration from modern roguelikes while maintaining an old-school arcade mentality built around repetition, skill improvement, and increasingly chaotic battles. The gameplay centers around repeated runs through procedurally arranged labyrinth chambers packed with monsters, traps, and projectile-heavy encounters. Players begin each run with different weapons such as bows, staffs, or melee tools that dramatically alter combat style and strategy. As runs progress, elemental upgrades and rune-based abilities allow players to customize builds and strengthen attacks, creating satisfying progression within each attempt. The combinati…
