Dagdrøm

Dagdrøm (which means Dream in Norwegian) is a very mysterious PnC game with quite a beautiful and unique art style. Explore an enigmatic dream world where npcs speak in rhymes, and solve all kind of very tricky puzzles. A beautiful but not easy game to play. The dev provided different in-game hints/walkthroughs to help the player progress, which were most helpful.

Dagdrøm is a beautiful adventure game, drawn in a Mæbius-like style. It has inventive and fun puzzles, though a few are a bit repetative once «solved». Last part borders on a brain/Logic-puzzles more than tradition adventure game puzzles, but in that sense, still great puzzles. Makes you feel smart when you crack The code 😁. Overal, a great modern adventure game. Not without flaws, but a very fun gaming experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Dagdrøm is perplexing and visually captivating despite a few hiccups in puzzle design. I found the overarching dream-like day and night theme to be fun and original. The game play is full of allusions that toe the line between between being plot clues and just story elements. A few of the puzzles felt a bit arbitrary which I found somewhat frustrating, but not enough to shadow the overall experience. +1 for the music as well

I really want to give this a thumbs up - there's so much heart in this game, the visuals are wonderful, and the vibes are dreamy and intriguing - but the gameplay really just didn't work for me. Dagdrøm puts you in the shoes of a citizen in a seemingly doomed futuristic city. You need to do some things and stuff to get on a train that goes somewhere. Why? Something about dreams. It's all very vague. The puzzles are also very vague. I wouldn't say the game runs on moon logic, instead I'll say "dream logic" (Dagdrøm is Danish for 'daydream'). The game will give you clues, but every clue is a riddle. Knowing what you need to do is, itself, a puzzle. It's just all very unclear what is going on. For some people, this might be fun, but it didn't land for me. Furthermore, items aren't named in the inventory either so you might not even know what items you have. If you try something incorrect, you don't even get a dialogue hint - just a headshake and crossed arms from the protagonist. In a few places I got confused because an item wasn't what I thought it was, or wasn't doing what I expected. Even the in-game hint system/walkthrough is confusing. Maybe it's just me, but this game is not intuitive. I'm not sure of the goal or even the purpose.
