About DAIMON BLADES
✦ AI summary
Lead a warrior monk into the depths of chaos to hunt down your traitorous mentor, wielding blood-hungry daimon weapons that grow stronger with each kill while threatening to corrupt you. This brutal first-person roguelike slasher blends demonic weapon crafting, RPG progression, and procedurally-generated biomes with solo or up-to-4-player co-op gameplay.
From the creators of E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy, a cult cyberpunk RPG.LAUNCH EXPEDITIONS, TRACK DOWN THE HERMITTake up arms as a member of the Secreta, a shadowy cult of warrior monks sworn to contain the rising tides of daimonic incursions, and face relentless abominations while descending deeper and deeper into the Daimon realm. The Hermit, your Mentor, betrayed the order and fled into the depths of Chaos after unhearthing the lost Temple. Find the Arch-traitor and put a stop to his soul-devouring ritual. MASTER THE DAIMON FORGE Daimon-infused weapons will bestow unholy powers upon you to annihilate every enemy in your path. Inhabited by a unique daimon with unique sets of abilities and attributes, the possibilities are endless and each weapon is unique. Your Daimon weapon feeds on the blood of your enemies and will ascend during each run, unlocking more power and abilities. Its raw power can also be permanently increased in between runs allowing you to survive longer and to obliterate everything in your path. But be careful. They are more than mere tools of destruction and their corruptive nature should never be underestimated. THE ORIGINAL CYCLE Taking place two millenias before the events of E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy, Daimon Blades is a dark fantasy prelude that shines a light in the obscure genesis of the Secreta order. Before guilt, there was corruption. Arising from brutality, blood, and sacrifice. KEY FEATURES A brutal first person slasher with roguelike progression

Very little changes about your playthrough over the course of the run and between runs. It gets dull quickly. Basic combat is pretty bland, despite the dodge and parry mechanics. I didn't feel the need to change how I engaged with different enemies beyond parry reflecting projectile enemies and chaining heavy attacks on everything else. Waiting for a shield-wielding enemy to slowly die while it blocks your heavy attacks from behind while stunned is unsurprisingly tedious. Enemy hitboxes are terrible, you can be hit by enemies whiffing the air in front of them while you're behind them, and enemies will phase through your weapon, spawn on top of you, or get stuck in level geometry fairly regularly. Sometimes enemy attacks will blend poorly from hurt reactions/movement, or fail to properly animate at all. I had to use the steam background recording feature a few times to figure out why I lost hitpoints (literally every time it was an enemy either spawning on top of me or damaging me by whiffing air nowhere near me). English localization of stats/attributes/abilities/effects is terrible, frequently unclear or straight wrong. Some attributes appear to do nothing. The weird "strategy ph…1 found this helpful

As expected from StreumOn, this game is jank as hell (affectionately), but the concept and execution turn a seemingly benign concept into a brilliant horde slasher. It needs a lot of work, and that work is being done, but this game very much carries the DNA of this studio's (arguable) magnum opus E.Y.E. and that is gonna make it somewhat polarizing from the get-go. If you don't mind a game that is both fair, yet brutally unforgiving; riddled with bugs and incomprehensible and/or mistranslated mechanics, but also unexpectedly deep in how those mechanics are applied; then Daimon Blades is the game you never asked for, but always wanted. Dive into the Labyrinth, unleash the power of your Daimon, kill the Hermit, descend the cycles of guilt. Wait, that last one's not right...1 found this helpful
This game is extremely terrible...and the best concept ever made. Bugs and glitches happen all the time I's say 1 in every 3-4 runs. Some bugs are so bad it end your run and bad news your loot is gone forever. Hopefully the Dev team will update this some time because it's really good.
TO MANY BUGS WHERE YOU LOSE LIKE AN HOUR OF PLAYING FOR THE GAME TO GLITCH OR CRASH FOR YOU TO NOT GET ANY OF YOUR REWARDS HORRIBLE. REALY LIKE THIS GAME BUT NONE THE BUGSEVER GETS FIXED. LOOKING TO GET A REFUND HAPPEN TWICE GAME CRASHED ON A BOSS THEN THE GAME GOT STUCK ONTHE UPGRADE SCREEN LOSS ALL THE STUFF I FOUND AND UPGRADES.
This is a janky unfun pile of unreal market place assets. The combat is just boring and not enjoyable. Save your money.
