Simple game but with broken physics and generally tedious gameplay.

Data mining 2 is a minimalist puzzle experience developed and published by Blender Games that focuses on clarity, accessibility, and short-session play. Rather than attempting to tell a story or overwhelm the player with layered mechanics, the game embraces a stripped-down design philosophy where every level presents a clear objective and a compact challenge. It is a title built for players who enjoy straightforward puzzles that reward spatial awareness, timing, and careful movement without demanding a heavy time investment. The core premise is intentionally simple. Each level places the player inside a confined, abstract arena where the goal is to collect all valid data files scattered across the space. Only once these files are gathered does the exit unlock, allowing progression to the next stage. Honestly ? This game changed my life. From the amazing storytelling to the charater design and depth, its all amazing and it fits together so so well. Lets also not forget the soundtrack made by Hans Zimmers's secret brother. Its simply lovely. And dont get me started on the level design. Im going to give Israel another 2 billion dollars just for these levels alone. 10/10

Data Mining 2 is a "template flip", that is to say, it's a "game" that has been produced by copying a game template or using a game construction kit, and changing a few things. In this case it's a simple mobile-tier 2D retro/neon/minimalist physics puzzle game. Shoot a ball around a small puzzle area to collect the pages of data then exit. The ball mechanics work a bit like pool. The asset flippers at Blender Games have copied + pasted this exact same game onto Steam a whopping 10 times now. This is deplorably low quality bundle trash. No professional effort was made in terms of game development, copying a template/using a game construction kit requires no talent, and unsurprisingly produces products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. It's almost as bad as an outright asset flip.

To be honest this game isn't that fun the physics are just broken. If it had more work on the levels (mostly on the physics) it maybe would've been better and more fun to play. Even then those types of games aren't a lot popular so if it has some issues it makes it even worse so i don't know if i would've still liked it even with the perfection of the physics.

It isn't enjoyable. It's a chore.
