Dating Life 2: Emily X Miley

So this short visual novel is the sequel to the first Dating Life. And basically covers the second date of Miley and Emily. Again your choices will determine what type of ending you get.

I wanted to like these games, they had huge potential, but it was wasted. This one is even shorter than the first, it's not clear that this is a sequel, and it recycles assets from the previous games, coming across as very lazy. Also the UI for the first one looked quite good, this ones UI looked very generic, and did not fit the theme of the game.

15 minute game (around an hour if you want to unlock all the scenes, but they're not worth the effort) that is so short, there is zero buildup so I had no investment in either of the characters and didn't care about the graphic scenes. And like reviews have pointed out, Dharker Studios recycled assets from the previous title to throw this out in a hurry. There are times throughout the game where the dialogue makes reference to either Emily or Miley saying something or performing an action, when the artwork clearly depicts that the other character is doing or saying that action. This mismatching of dialogue with the action performed in the scene happens often, and makes me think that DS was too lazy to care about having cohesive scenes. There are scenes where one character has their clothes off, then has their clothes back on a minute later and the dialogue describes her still having her clothes off later. Game is too short for $4.00 and it didn't impress me at all, I wouldn't even pay 50 cents for it. I would boycott this rushed title, tbh.

I looked over the reviews and played the game myself because I have enjoyed Dating Life: Miley x Emily when I first played it. While I do understand why some of the reviews were negative, I don't see this to be a disappointment. Instead, I had a good time and I enjoyed playing Emily this time instead of Miley. If there is a third game coming soon, I hope they take the reviews for improvement but also give options to play either Miley or Emily for different perspectives and fun alternatives. Overall, I really like this served as a sequel even though it is sadly short and can feel a bit repetitive. 4/5 is as far as I'll go

Loved the first one and enjoyed the sequel! Amazing art as always, fun and lovable characters! If you're a fan of Negligee or the Paradise Cove games you'll have a good time with this one too
