TL;DR this whole game was made for 18+ patch and it's not worth it. The phrase "usually heterosexual women" in the description should've tipped me off but nope. So we have one MC who is "technologically challenged" to the point of accidentally creating a male profile for herself, changing the name and all on a dating app. And another one who sees a rare chance to do whatever she wants, being presented with a desperate fool MC is. Character dynamics? Plot? Unheard of!11 found this helpful
Eh. I played the basic version without the adult DLC. It's a very short visual novel about unpleasant people, with lacklustre art. The description calling them straight girls is incorrect. Emily is clearly bi and Miley never once implies that she likes men or is uncomfortable dating a woman. There's a single scene very early on that references "traps". Trans people aren't traps. When I say lacklustre art, I'm mostly talking about the poses which are just inappropriate for the scenes. - In the shower scene she's clearly drawn lying down but they've just put her in a shower and pretended that people shower with their knees bent. - She does this ahegao face thing all the time regardless of the situation. - With her hands constantly clasped between her thighs she goes through the whole game looking like she's desperate to use the bathroom.7 found this helpful
Dating Life: Miley X Emily, developed and published by Dharker Studios, is a compact visual novel built around a single, intimate scenario: an awkward first date that slowly evolves into something more nuanced depending on how the player chooses to guide it. The story follows Miley, who steps back into the dating world after a long absence, only to find herself in an unexpected situation when her date, Emily, arrives under circumstances she didn’t quite anticipate. This setup immediately establishes a tone grounded in social discomfort, curiosity, and the unpredictability of human interaction, giving the narrative a relatable foundation despite its stylized presentation. The experience unfolds through a familiar dialogue-driven structure, where the player’s choices determine how Miley responds to Emily throughout the evening. These decisions influence the pacing and tone of the interactions, allowing the date to swing between awkward, humorous, tense, or surprisingly heartfelt moments. Rather than building toward a complex or sprawling narrative, the game focuses on capturing the emotional rhythm of a single encounter, emphasizing how small decisions can subtly alter the direction…1 found this helpful
