About DawnOfCombat
Battle at Dawn" is a game I developed independently in my spare time, created out of a passion for the hobby. The game is distributed for free, and I welcome interested peers to join in the exchange and learning. My BiliBili homepage is: https://space.bilibili.com/397217774
The game is still in the development stage, and the launched version only contains the core combat slice. I hope to gather everyone’s ideas and opinions during the early experience stage to continuously refine and optimize this product.
In this game, players will find themselves in a vast universe full of unknowns and challenges. They will pilot a spaceship in this endless sea of stars, battling hordes of enemies in an intense competition for survival.
Before each round of the game starts, players need to remodel their spaceship and choose weapons to prepare for the upcoming battles. They may have to remove some armor and shields to install more weapons, meaning they must take on greater risks but at the same time, the potential rewards could also be higher.
Throughout the game, players need to collect coins dropped by enemies upon their death. These coins can be used to purchase various upgrades in the store. These stores randomly appear during the player's game progress, and players need to fly their spaceship over the store to buy upgrades. Choosing and allocating these upgrades wisely is key to victory.
Each new game represents a whole new set of challenges and possibilities. Players need to constantly adapt and evolve in the ever-changing battlefield in order to survive and win. Whether to risk choosing more powerful weapons, or finding the store at the right moment for upgrades, each decision could impact the final outcome of the game. "DawnOfCombat" is waiting for every player seeking excitement and challenge, as they navigate their way to glory and victory in this infinite cosmic adventure.

What Steam players say

"DawnOfCombat" is a very weak, badly made 2D top down Vampire Survivors ripoff, with a perfect match of terrible graphics and terrible gameplay. There's an element of Vampire Survivoresque progression, too, but stats show nobody bothered to play it long enough to progress. The developers abandoned this around 9 (edit: 10) months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. This features really godawful, lazy pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully …3 found this helpful
To switch to english press escape then the middle button, then click english. It's free, try it out. It isn't that great tho, if this cost money I wouldn't reccomend it. But I have to commend the devs for making a survivors game free, I feel like they should all be free, there is so many of them and they are practically the same. Really needs a dash mechanic and more meta progress. Right now the meta progress is just unlocking other modules, and there isn't that many to unlock, I could see it only taking a day the "beat" this game. Then again it's EA still, so maybe they are adding skill trees and meta upgrades idk. 5/102 found this helpful
