Tried playing a couple of times, but there is a game breaking bug at any point where there is dialogue and a subsequent change in scene where the game goes on without your input (you can hear the sounds), but the screen goes completely black.3 found this helpful
This game does pixel horror very well! The animations and suspense factor are very good. The story pacing had me a little confused sometimes, but I think that's mainly because of the translation. Overall I think it's very much worth a playthrough for classic RPG Horror indie fans.
great game. great story. only downside is game kept crashing. I read the achievement guide and noticed apparently some are glitched? well for steamdeck I Got all without issues so I dunno
At first 30 minutes the gameplay and plot didn't gaved a huge impression, but the more you play - the more it sucks you in! A bit reminds me of "Moth Lake" There were some tense moments and cool looking monsters that killed me several times till I find out how to defeat them, puzzles were fun, for some I had to write it down to solve it LOL. Story seems interesting. To be honest - some of the dialogues make me think deeper, it touched relevant topics and let me see the human relationships from a different perspective. I like that.
Overall, I truly enjoyed it but not everything. I think the story is somewhat confusing - there are long notes that explain it, but I think a better job could've been done with show and not tell story-wise. Also the sci-ency angle is not my favorite, but I don't fault the game for it, just my opinion. Next, sometimes sound design is annoying and unbalanced. I like hearing footsteps when I walk, but if I increase the volume to hear them, the moment a scare happens my ears explode due to high and sudden volume change. Other than that, I recommend it for psychological horror game fans and silent hill enjoyers.
I've had it after it got stuck at the ending for the second time. I get the meta narrative, it's quite good. But the attempts at horror are really hit or miss with goofy looking creatures, arbitrary camera and movement effects, and the same chase mechanic over and over again. This game was frustrating and I don't even want to know the ending anymore because I stopped caring.
