DEAD TRASH is a worthwhile indie FPS. It has a fresh and unique enough theme, but is a little rough around the edges. + Non-voiced comic-like story between levels + Good, consistent theme + Decent variety + Distinct enemy aggression sound indication by enemy type adds clarity * ~2h playthrough * Grainy, pixelated, rough visual style * Hidden secrets * Barebone environment visuals * Simple enemy behavior * Routing through alternative routes or going back for alternative routes and hidden paths can get a little confusing/disorienting, but it can be considered part of the game - No free save and load system, no level-select even after completion - Invisible walls with random seemingly intentional gaps; straying from the main path is actively encouraged through secrets and collectibles like ammo and weapons, but gets confusing with arbitrary invisible blocking and letting through - Confusing sequence break; enemies up above from a later part of the game spot you and shoot but can not hit you and you can't hit them - After death, complete level restart and in unclear state (default state, not like I entered the level?) Fantastic boomer shooter that feels like a love letter to 90s and early 2000s gaming and culture. Love the digitized graphics and glorious gibs. The storytelling in the comic book style is fantastic. Level layouts are well done with linearity that rewards exploration but doesn't get confusing or annoying. If you like boomer shooters, digitized graphics, graphic violence, comic books, and resident evil style secret labs, you will love this. I really hope these devs make a longer sequel or another boomer shooter with digitized graphics. Hard to beat the charm this game has, especially for the price.1 found this helpful
DEAD TRASH is an awesome, gritty retro action game that completely hooked me. Sure, there are a few bugs here and there, and the average game length sits right around 1.5 to 2 hours to complete but I absolutely loved it anyway. The atmosphere and gameplay are incredibly fun and well worth the time. Highly recommend picking this up if you want a great, punchy experience!1 found this helpful

This game has more of a soul than anything released by bungie. the base game does have a plethora of problems- mainly slow movement, lack of resources, lack of clear UI, and a lack of polish. Story is simple but enjoyable. The DLC, however, is second to none. resources are given in the right quality at the right time. The movement has been sped up in the correct way. UI also has been over-hauled with the addition of knowing how much ammo is in a gun at a given moment- making combat feel less like gambling and more like you are a competent combatant.1 found this helpful
Horrible crahes where the screen flashes and i cant use my pc until it shut it down, cant tab out or alt f4.
