Deliverance

Deliverance is one of those AVNs that actually understands atmosphere. The story is genuinely strong, with a great mix of mystery, horror, suspense, relationships, and moral tension. It is not just a collection of scenes loosely connected by filler dialogue. There is a real plot here, and the darker tone gives the game a much stronger identity than most titles in the genre. The love interests are also a major highlight. The game offers a very good variety of women, personalities, body types, and visual styles, which helps the cast feel distinct instead of repetitive. That alone already puts it above many AVNs where every character feels like a slightly modified version of the same model. Deliverance has a strong visual identity, and the cast is memorable enough to make the relationships actually matter. The horror and suspense elements are probably the best part of the experience. The game creates an effective sense of danger and mystery, and when the story leans into its darker side, it becomes genuinely engaging. Guns, super power, detective, medieval towns...it was interesting in the begginin, but the deeper you go, the less you understand and just skip

Must admit that I wasn't a particular fan of this AVN and decided to speedrun the entire game through help of the guide to unlock all achievements and consider it done. The story itself felt all over the place and couldn't really connect the dots properly nor did I understand the approach they were going with it. The characters on visual levels were also out of place for me and couldn't get used to the way they looked as it didn't feel natural to me. The game had potential if the story was connecting, the choices did matter more in an in-depth choice system and if the females got some adjustments, but for now I am unable to recommend it and therefore I consider it a failed project.

This game surprised me. I also picked it up on sale at 80% off and it is an insane deal. In the sub $3 category it is absolute S-tier. In the overall adult visual novel rankings, I put it as a strong A tier. The story is about a detective who can be corrupted or not. Corruption has consequences. While some games get more depraved with corruption, I didn't feel like this one did. Instead the ending was darker to me and choices get removed. So, the player needs to solve the mystery gain or lose allies, and eventually defeat the big bad, or join them. Choices don't have immediate impact. They're more like tickers that tally up whether you're good or evil, steer your relationship focus, and eventually shift the overall ending. I made just a couple of choices different and it entirely changed the ending to almost polar opposites. So, if you like to skip ahead to see what the choices bring you, go for it but the major differences you will see is whether you get a girl or not and whether getting the girl locks out another girls opportunity at that point. I'll try and make this as helpful as I can. I do prefer a good story over just sex scenes and I really liked my playthrough here. However, I was skeptical about continuing to play this and I'm very glad I didn't give up. Reason being is it seemed to start out slow and sometimes confusing, but things begin to become more clear as you get farther into it, so just stick with it. That and your wife is a complete sex maniac there are lots of sex scene options with her. Once I got past the start, it became one I wanted to keep playing to see what happens. There are 8 different endings and I've seen only 2 at this point, and they were fantastic. There is a lot of substance in this game, it just goes and goes, but I never felt like I was looking for it to end. I found the choice to cheat on my perverted, perfectly breasted wife, difficult (but I did of course). She gives you about all you can ask for in a wife and has a genuine caring personality. There are tons of sex scenes, 3-some and 4-some (swingers) if you are so inclined (but no one was touching my wife). I truly enjoyed playing this game and it holds up extremely well, even if you omitted the sex scenes from within it.
