Demon Sighting

"Demon Sighting" is more e-book than game, a simple Flash tier (Ren'Py) point and click thing that could have been done in a browser. The plot follows the authors imaginary girlfriend who is a succubus, whatever, and plods through a murder mystery, only badly written. What do you do in the game? Point and click stuff, but mostly just reading cringey e-book/visual novel text. So, it's hard to describe this as a game, the focus of the product is more like that of an e-book/visual novel, there's only minor, shallow and uninteresting gameplay elements. The crux of this is to push some very low quality, badly done fan-fiction tier writing, where we see once more a developer fail to understand the importance of "Show, don't tell", and for whatever reason, weren't able to convey their narrative through gameplay, giving us endless lines of badly written e-book text instead. My gaming rig is not a kindle. So this looks like an old 1990's Adobe Flash game that you might play in a web browser, and the problem there is obviously Steam wasn't intended to try compete with Chrome and Firefox. really detailed for a free game. a lot of work went into this one. the game-play is simple but you do have to calculate your choices throughout and the mini games are fun. great concept, cool art, free, what's not to like

gives vibes of the good old web games that were one of my best childhood Memories, love the game choices very quite plenty and nice amount of endings and combat wise it's for me atleast was more pray for rng and save each time you dont miss and if you miss just load to last attempt maybe i just suck but combat does feel brutal and tbh the hot demons art was not to bad in my opnion
