About DevLife

Have you ever wanted to try what it's like to be a programmer, graphic designer, or tester, but you didn't have the right skills or time to learn them? In DevLIfe you can experience it for yourself! Create your character and guide him or her through life in the IT industry. Complete commissions, create your projects, set up your own company, hire employees, and lead them to success!

Although the game is in Early Access, it already contains many features and a mechanic. The most important of them are:
 • Creating your own character, choosing traits, and building your career in the IT industry
 • Make thought choices in Interactive Events that shape both the gameplay and the story of your character!
 • Four extensive skill trees - learn how to create websites, mobile applications, video games, and desktop applications. Decide what direction you want to take in your career!
 • Finding and fulfilling commissions for external clients and improving your skills through learning
 • Starting your own company, creating your own projects, hiring employees, and taking care of their well-being and growth
 • Four unique locations: family house, bay office, desert office and city center office
 • Build Mode - buy new furniture, decorations, or RTV equipment and take care of the comfort and high performance of your employees

We won't stop here. In future versions, we plan to expand the "life" aspect of DevLife by adding more theme-based Interactive Events. Besides, with each update in the game the available content will be expanded, there are plans for:
 • New Character Customization Options
 • Additional Locations
 • New Furniture

We will listen to players' opinions and introduce their ideas into the game to make it as much playable as we can. We hope that your experience with DevLife will be the most enjoyable!

Bought it a lifetime ago to give support to the devs, but I never really had faith in it. Now it lays abandonned, so don't buy, save your money.

Kudos to the developers for delivering such an engaging and high-quality game! Truly impressive!

I guess biggest flaw starts when you want to create your own project, production cost is crazy high and you are having to grind for ever to create a one profitable app

I know it early access but this game is so bugged rn I went from have a company that was worth $100,000 and a personal account of $43,000 completing all commissions on time and "fast" with no bonus but still making money company cost $420 a month and personal $290 the boom 2008 hit nothing changed but game over before the year end and idk why besides a bad unbalanced game and if you check the discussions you will see I am not the only one saying this but it's still not been addressed so stay away to the dev earn his rep and track record or the game actually releases because rn now it's just a cash grab potential abandonware
UNBALANCED Mess
I bought this game back in 2020 and waited forever for it to come out of Early Access.. which never happened, and I forgot about it. Since the dev stopped working on it (over 100 days without an update), I'm finally giving this a try in 2024. Review after 96 mins..
PROS:
[olist] [*] I get the idea behind it. The initial difficulty, the "struggle" before you make it. But most of the struggle isn't really from gameplay or "fun". I can see how you could improve upon this idea and make it actually fun though. [/olist]
CONS:
[olist] [*] UI/UX: Annoying beeps with autosave notifications, tiny round icons in the corner for some reason with text reserved for popups (annoying trait of most games these days). A lot of pointless clicking to do simple things. Want to do a commision? 1. Click a tiny icon on bottom left to search for a commission >> 2. Take the commission by clicking a tiny icon >> 3. Select "Create Project" on top right to create that commission >> 4. Then click "Select Employee" to select your ONLY employee (which isn't auto selected, you have to do all of this every time) >> 5. Click "create projec…

this game is completely impossible. no matter what I do and how good it goes, as soon as the stupid financial crisis event starts it is impossible to recover. Edit: I had to try it again and after making 3 new games I finaly managed to get further and even made a own project that should earn me 2 million. guess what. I immediately lost multible hundrets of thousands AFTER I published that project for no reason. it was not because of the project. because of losing so much money, without a way to see what those payments even were, I lost my company and had to start at my parents home. at that point, after soo many bugs, losses for no reason, losing a coworker because of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RNG and more, I was fed up. this game gets a 4/10 from me. not enough to be acceptable. tldr: the game is buggy, has no overfew over why you lose all your money and is extremely reliant on RNG. dont buy it. I might look back into it in a year, assuming the developer still works on it.
