not fun, good character customization, reddit humor, boring enemies, cool music not worth the price tho for sure unless you are really really autistic about turn-based games

The game was really neat and great, and granted I play the roguelike on hard difficulty...but those last 2 act 3 bosses made me want to pull my eyes out. I didn't lose at all, but the final boss taking almost 2 hours is insane. Act 3 ruined it for me tbh.

I really enjoyed my time with Dice Gambit! It really itched the turn-based tactics part of my brain, and it's a lot of fun to try and create the most broken builds using the interactions different classes have with one another. The game has a fantastic art style and really memorable and enjoyable characters. It has lots of rules options to customize your expirence, I found on my first playthough, near the end of the campaign, it was a little easy to the point I found most combats to be largely inconsequential, (although there is a lot of fun in tearing through hordes of enemies in a single turn,) so on my second playthrough added difficulty options help to alleviate that issue. The only thing I missed from this game was having dialouge options matter outside of ~1 line reactions, I was hoping they might interact with the relationship system, but regardless, the dialouge is great, lots of moments made me laugh out loud. Overall, I would highly reccomend this game.

It looked way more complex than it really is, I was so worried that I was going to create characters who were suboptimal pieces of garbage but just by casually playing and testing abilities and playstyles I've got two decent teams who can hold their own against pretty much any encounter and I'm only halfway through the second act. The family system also seemed really daunting to me because I was worried that my original and earlier characters would just become irrelevant in the face of future generations but my original character is still probably my strongest character and he's not even a dps, he's a tank who just sits on top of enemies and punishes them for doing anything. The build diversity and potential in this game is staggering, and characters seem to stay relevant as long as you're willing to keep putting work into them. I think having a huge family could potentially lead to you overextending so I recommend only having as many family members as you absolutely need, but all in all this has been a phenomenal game and I look forward to how the rest of it turns out. Addendum : I have now played the game for approximately 20 hours and have beaten a playthrough of the game. I wa…

fun game overall. negative reviews are right in that the mid/late game starts to feel repetetive. combat balance feels good for most classes with a couple busted standouts that clear every combat in a single turn (looking at you shutterbug)

Great game about trying to find the most broken builds and synergies. Not too short, not too long, perfect for multiple playthroughs. Characters and interactions are fun and memorable, the family tree system of trying to hand down stats is one of my favourites, the classes are fun and not only are they built for good cross interaction in gameplay they also come with abilities/passives that create great oppurtunities of cross interaction through inherentance as well! Definitely worth the price and then some! Played the hell out of the demo, don't know why I slept on this for so long at launch, plan on playing the hell out of this as well! Really recommend!
