Disgaea 2 PC is basically the "Complete" version of the PS2 and PSP game without some of the sony dlc. While id love to see them make a version with upgraded sprites and QoL, Disgaea 2 PC is still an awesome Disgaea game worth playing. Now we just need them to release Disgaea 3 from its prison as a Complete version2 found this helpful
No game feels QUITE like a Disgaea game. It is the overlording Mirabil's game!1 found this helpful
if you are looking for a grid-based strategy RPG, this series is the one you want. you're given plenty of freedom to do what you want with most encounters, and your approach can vary incredibly while still being basically optimal. disgaea 2 specifically is the first one i've played in the series, and has an excellent cast of absolute freaks, with a cute and fun story to go along with them. all of the visual/graphical aspects are really unique and enjoyable, and the gameplay itself is incredibly fun to Just Play. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE, however, that this game is relatively very unpolished and a bit janky compared to later installments, of which i've only played disgaea 4 and 5 (both of which i haven't completed.) this game can feel tedious and pretty difficult, with some odd roadblocks at times that seem generally unintuitive, but acceptable given the air of the rest of the game.. and it's worth mentioning that in terms of a more complete and fully-featured and polished experience, you're better off with later entries in the series. that's not to say disgaea 2 is bad in those regards, just notably weird to play around in comparison.
You like Disgaea? It's Disgaea... I prefer newer ones for more stuff, but this is a nice early entry.
get to item world haha i'm item worlding now
I really liked disgaea series but no idea why i am not playing this one and in chapter 4 i cannot go on anymore... I played 4 disgaea games so far 1 and the spin offs and enjoyed myself. But this one i might never play any more disgaea
