Liner Notes:

Yes, this is an obvious knockoff of Dodge by serial asset flippers INFINITY BRIDGE ... err, INFINITE BRIDGE. I was bored one day and wanted to do some coding so I remade that game - only without using an asset kit and with full Steam implementation. And for free because that's all this game is worth. I had a Steam Direct slot gathering dust anyway so why not?

Speaking of asset flips, I'm trying to fight them via my Steam group, Asset Flip Reviews. Join if you like and if you want to support the cause maybe buy the completely optional (and useless) DLC for this game? All revenue goes towards writing more reviews to help other gamers avoid paying money for games they shouldn't have paid money for in the first place. Unfortunately you can't review games without actually buying them so yeah ... it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Dodge Dots is a poorly made minimalist action/avoidance minigame with, well, no appeal as a serious game for gamers. Was this an assignment? A tech demo? Someone copied a basic Unity template? Either way... give this a miss. This has some really mediocre looking graphics that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarly visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. Insultingly, the developer insists that you should play this with a console peasant children's toy gamepad instead of KB+M. Developers should try to be aware which platform they're designing games for. It's the responsibility of the developer to ensure the game runs well on the platform they're selling it on, with the primary peripherals that PC gamers use. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a "donation" for this as you're expected to buy some extra DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water o…

Not recommended, but a good start that has a lot more potential. As a standalone game, it's hard to recommend this, but I do like what is attempted here. The dev even states it's just a quick project to mock an asset flip. With that in mind, this has potential to be much more. The score chasing and leaderboard climbing aspect has some addictive qualities (I even broke the top 100). I would have liked it to be a bit easier, with more skins and cosmetic options given early on. Some variations are needed. Plus the movement feels delayed and leads to easy deaths. For free, give it a try if you love these types of games, otherwise its a skip.
