About Down to Hell

The player takes on the role of a knight filled with hatred and struggle. During the game the protagonist will have to fight with various demons in order to save the mysterious girl that previously saved him.
Down to Hell is a dynamic slasher with a dark and gritty art style. During the gameplay the player using both weapons and magic will have to fight various terrifying demons.
Moreover, in each chapter, there will be at least 3 bosses, where each of them will be a particularly demanding opponent.
Both in the game and especially in the soundtrack, there won’t be any compromises. The soundtrack will be fully metal in crucial moments (incl. Decapitated, KORONAL and more!), the art style also will be heavily inspired by some great metal covers.

"Down to Hell" is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. It's a handheld (Nintendo Switch)/console game that's also been put on Steam as a bit of an afterthought, as it's very much designed for the handheld/console gaming audience. This "dark and broody" horror themed platformer/brawler has a fantasy/horror theme and some fairly low production values, but then we shouldn't expect much from Nintendo Switch games when we're on PC. They know Steam is for PC games, right? This game has been translated from some other language into English... badly. If this was done through Google Translate, Google Translate should feel ashamed of itself. Regardless, the language in this game is broken and will put off a lot of gamers. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks…7 found this helpful
Brainless hack and slash with heavy metal music on bosses , very low tier game that should be sold for 0.99$ , also who puts parry on C , low 2/10 , got one point only cause of the metal music.
Down to Hell, developed by Red Dev Studio S.A. and published by Ultimate Games S.A. alongside the developer, is a 2D side-scrolling action game that attempts to blend hack-and-slash combat with a dark, metal-inspired aesthetic. Set in a grim underworld filled with demonic enemies and oppressive environments, the game casts players as a tormented knight descending into Hell to rescue a mysterious girl tied to his past. The premise suggests a brutal and emotionally charged journey, one rooted in vengeance, obsession, and redemption. While the concept holds potential, the execution delivers a mixed experience that struggles to consistently match its thematic ambition. From a visual standpoint, Down to Hell establishes a moody and atmospheric presentation. The environments are drenched in shadow, fire, and hellish backdrops that reinforce the descent into a cursed realm. Background art often features detailed structures, looming demonic figures, and stylized landscapes that complement the tone. Between gameplay segments, hand-drawn illustrations and cinematic panels attempt to add narrative flair and artistic depth. The heavy metal soundtrack further reinforces the mood, driving comba…
If you could get this unfinished game for free, then yes I would recommend it. But, only a fool would pay money for it.
i bought this game for 76 cents on sale and beat it in about 45 minutes. its got maybe 4-6 enemy sprites that are recycled ad nausem. its got platforms that suddenly stop working and others you cant even see and have to blindly jump through. its got a repeatitive audio track and sound fx that are so loud they overtake the mumbling narration that rambles on about stuff that has nothing to do with your currently play thru and i guess is attempting to hype up the main character with silly stories like "he fight so hard and in so many wars that all he knows is ultra violence and then...chapter 3 coming soon!" lol no shop, no armor, no weapons, no customization, and 1 pointless npc who is an old man who is like "omg stop being so hardcore mr awesome!" Then the glitches lol. no one did any QA on this. the same stories loop again and again if you back track, text gets stuck on the screen long after dialog finishes. i even had 2 crashes. one locked the game and another locked up my whole steam deck. even after getting this on sale for 76 cents and beating the game cant recommend it. its worse than most student project games, incomplete, glitched, has typos, bad fx, bad music, poorly mixed,…
very good i got maidens after playing this
