About Draco Knight

Don your armor and take up the spear and shield, for evil walks the land once more.

The Game
Draco Knight is a brutal and difficult combat based 2D action-platformer with a touch of metroidvania. The game uses twin stick controls to provide an intricate and hard to master gameplay. Combat is deliberate and impactful, requiring both finesse and quick decision making skills. You will die a lot, but as long as you learn from every encounter every enemy will eventually fall.

Engage Oppressive and Menacing Foes

Encounter increasingly more challenging and horrifying monsters as you continue your journey. Each enemy will have their own strengths and weaknesses, the former is to be respected while the latter exploited. A knight without vigilance will meet his end in battle, yet a skilled and careful knight can engage an entire army.

Epic Boss Battles

Boss battles are designed to be brutal and challenging. Study your foes and test your ability to adapt, perhaps with enough tenacity and skill even the greatest of foes can be defeated.

Empower the Knight

Overcome the toughest enemies to break through human limits and unlock your draconic powers. Secure aid from allies who may know a thing or two about smithing. As you unlock new skills & improve your armor, your ability to navigate through environments increases along with your capacity to devastate your enemies.

Story
Our story takes place in the kingdom of Draconia where humankind and dragons coexist in peace. Yet now a shadow looms over the land, where once there was peace, monsters now roam. Currently, the kingdom still holds due to the might of the Draco Knights, great and noble warriors who turned the tides of the Great War.
Experience the tale of a lone knight who fights to reclaim a fortress lost to evil forces. Explore a massive Castle and beat back the threat to discover the mysterious nature of the enemies that now beset the land.

There are some things to say about this game. 1) The game is deep in the gameplay, it's absolutely clear that it is conceived in an intelligent and logical way, so it's pleasing to learn the patterns of the enemies, it's nice to reach a certain place and obtaining a bonus after some hardcore platforming and so on. 2) The control system is very nice and original. You have to get used to it, but it works pretty good and it's something different from classic 2D-soulslike games. 3) At normal mode this game is incredibly hard. I never played anything like this before, and I am a veteran player who beats Malenia from Elden Ring hitless and things like that. Here some bosses (e.g. the last) are on a completely different level, it's like playing in end game in a soulslike with a +0 weapon. And I am saying it not in a good way. It's too difficult, so I had to cheese a pair of bosses (forcing the A.I. into simple patterns) who had an absurd quantity of hp. If they had like the 25% of the hp they have, they would have been a very difficult challenge, but maybe fair. With their total amount of hp are simply broken. Another aspect in which this game hits very (too) hard is the crowd control. Wh…3 found this helpful
Really cool resposive game. Mechanics are familiar but unique in implimentation. Spear works almost like in a twin-stick shooter controlls, but otherwise it feels closest to a fighting game. Though even playing on hardcore i couldn't do dragon stance super relibly, but that's probably intentional since it's pretty stong. Loved inclusion of some precision platforming for variaty, generally very well made game, all i can ask is for more content.2 found this helpful
Really enjoying this game so far. The combat system is unique and intuitive and definitely requires some practice to get used to, but when you get in the groove it's an amazing experience. 10/10 Game.2 found this helpful
the main reason this is a no from me is the fact while you can precision block and the frames on blocking is decent sprites do not have collision so the enemy can just move into your space if its aggressive enough and wreck the ever living ♥♥♥♥ out of you. that is about 33% of this game's difficulty, plus another 33% to precision controls on the worst weapon i have ever seen in a metroidvania combined with a similar system to dmc's skills on weapons where specific inputs of clicks need to be made for special attacks and moves but its almost mandatory to actually do any damage, and another 33% for the fact most difficult areas are just loads of monsters sent at you all at once all piled on top of one another. so yeah i wouldn't recommend this game to anyone I know, but if you like CBT for the sake of CBT this game is probably for you1 found this helpful

This game is hidden gem for sure. Combat requires thinking and skill, so button mashing won't do you any good. Goals are clear, plot is realistic and with a twist, characters are not pretentious. Overall there is nothing to add and nothing to remove. And also - spear. Spears are cool.
