This is my single favorite game that I have ever played, so, yes I would recommend it to other players. Unfortunately: it is no longer listed on the Steam store, I assume because Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition (which is less stable) is, so far as I know, the same game but with DLC. It also, like the Ultimate Edition, runs poorly on newer computers. There are many workarounds around the internet - what worked for me was downloading a 4GB LAA update (had to do the same for Ultimate Edition), and then the game ran smoothly on max settings. The game itself is a highly in-depth RPG experience, similar to other old Bioware games - your choices matter, potentially causing party members to desert you or altering the course of events later on in the game (although, not quite to the extent they naturally might; I think the original development may have been rushed so some choices which should be consequential - i.e., your character using blood magic in combat - never have any consequences despite multiple party members continuously disapproving of blood magic in any form). It has some flaws, and is certainly an old game - but no other game really hits for me the way this one doe…1 found this helpful
I'm unsure why this game gets the praise it does. It's really simple, boring, and back to back combat encounters without much thought inbetween.
Immersive, lore driven, freedom of choice and accurate dialogue, they dont make them like this anymore
done finish play this on my deck. have fun with it. the story is great and its pause attack mechanic is amazing.. help a lot to strategist your tactic during hard challenging fight. however playing this in deck is really pain in the ***. EA apps always constantly have issue after its update. faugus software really help a lot. but sometime the game can only run on desktop mood. AE Apps ruin the fun playing this on deck
Smash that pause button! Game is quite nice, but goes so hard into roleplay that mechanical choices also come with the pricepoint of being utterly evil.
don't jump in looking to not have issues i've had too many crashes and its not amazing other then that fire story and decent combat for it's time still learning the gameplay
