7/10, decent game held back by horrendous dialogues. If you're a person who likes skipping stories in game, this is a good RPG to pick up. If you're a Dragon Age fan, it's still a good pick up on sales. The main story is genuinely not bad, the 3-hour ending sequence alone is well worth the slog through the rest of the game. But the yapping, oh my god the yapping. Characters repeat themselves constantly. The banters misses a lot more than they hit. The expository writing is so egregious you'd want to ban commas forever. This game does have the best hair physics I have ever seen in my entire life and Lace Harding is hot.2 found this helpful
I enjoyed this game extremely. Gripping story with a very emotional end. Yes, it is not exactly like any of the Dragon Ages that came before it, but that is just par for the course in this series. I was also skeptical at first, but the more I played, the more the game grew on me. The companions are interesting and likable. It's more of an action RPG and definitely less open world than Inquisition. That didn't detract much for me. Graphics again are quite a step from the previous games, but beautiful in their own right. Playing on Linux I didn't encounter any crashes and only a single minor bug in the whole play-through. If you enjoy a good story, I can only recommend Veilguard.1 found this helpful
This game is so fun from the combats, character customization and the beautiful visuals. My only problem with the game is that this game requires powerful pc. I only have a midrange pc so sometimes the game crash but weirldly it happens at almost the end of the game. Overall i rate this game 10/10, you dont have to play previous game so for the newcomers you can just go ahead and play this game instead of play the prequals first.
I absolutely love this game. Most of the criticism I've seen centers on the presence of diversity, so if you're normal, don't even worry about it.
As a long time fan of the Dragon Age games Iwas pretty pensive going into this given the blast it took when it launched. I picked it up on a deep discount, and that has obviously influenced my view of the game. The change to action combat is annoying, but honestly I was happily bashing Darkspawn in no time. The gender fluidity perspectives can be mostly avoided if that's upsetting for you for some reason. I've seen complaints about bosses being damage sponges, but on the rare cases where this was a real issue you can power throough it. I did eveything I could do in my first playthough, and I'm tempted to go again.
I thought the negativity about his game was just because of the mentally ill qunari character but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that is only one turd in the massive pile of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the story is boring, the side quests are filler, the companions are not interesting, the combat is mobile game levels of slop
