＜Story＞
Erik and his sister Mia live on a Viking longship, dreaming of the day they can explore the world in search of grand treasure. One night they encounter a pair of otherworldly creatures, Porcus and Purrsula, and are whisked away to a mysterious place known as Draconia - a legendary land full of monsters to befriend and treasures just waiting to be discovered. The adventure Erik and Mia have always dreamed of is finally underway!

The adventure takes place in Draconia, a land that's home to countless pieces of precious loot.
Join Erik and Mia as they search for the legendary Dragonstones, picking up as much treasure as they can along the way!
＜Base＞
With the threat of rival treasure-hunting crews looming large, Erik and Mia form a gang of their own and snag a base of operations. Every piece of loot they acquire adds to the total value of their treasure vault. When this value hits a certain point, their gang will go up a rank, unlocking new treasure-hunting abilities and the option to add to the base's amenities.
＜Rival Gang＞
Treasure hunting gangs have been known to flock from far and wide in the hope of striking it rich. “Rival Gangs” will stop at nothing to get their hands on Erik and Mia’s treasure – from attacking out in the field to launching a raid on base.
<Field＞
Draconia was formed from the bodies of two enormous Golden Dragons. Over the rocky eons their rocky remains have eroded away to leave six floating islands. Erik and Mia can scout five very different biomes in their hunt for treasure, from volcanic mountains and bone-dry deserts to frozen wastelands. Each island in inhabited by various types of monsters. Using the powers of the “Dragon Daggers”, Erik and Mia can recruit monsters to join their gang. Each monster has a special ability called a 'Forte', allowing them to soar through the air or dive into the ground to bypass obstacles enroute to the loot. By working together with their well-manner monster, Erik and Mia hunt for treasures buried across the lands of Draconia!

Iam not a Dragon Quest Fan. I watched a lot of the gameplay on Dragon Quest Monsters Dark Prince and it just seemed very slow paced, with a boring story and gameplay, so never bought that. It was said Dragon Quest XI was the best. So I tried the demo and I hated it. If that's the best I'd hate to see what the others are like. However I did play and really liked Dragon Quest builders. I watched gameplay on this game and it just seems like simple fun and something I'd like. I like the characters and the monsters are interesting enough. I do find the game mostly enjoyable and fun. Hunting for treasure and monsters is fun. Though there are only 16 unique monster types with various reskins bringing the total to 74. I would of preferred if they all were unique. Combat is a bit dull you are more like a support character and you just watch your monsters fight, can't control them and normal attacks with the dagger is not viable and occasionally heal, buff and staying back to attack with your slingshot and use special abilities when able and monsters are a little bit annoying the way they continually repeat the same phrase non stop all the time. Finding the last 50 treasures was hell. Hunting monsters with accessories without FPV or zoom in view was hell. The game was great for the first 70 hours. After that, boring as hell.1 found this helpful
Great game, while im confused why every game that is good, has to remove features from some games of the same series that are more..."bad" such as NO OUTFIT OR COSMETIC CHANGES? WTF? that being said, this game has so much content its crazy ridiculous. Theirs also a daily quest feature, so even if you beat the game you can come back and still have something to do even if you theoretically 100% everything. That being said, its like DQ monsters, except...open world, and with treasure. Its a creature collector and pirate simulation all in one, basically. Out of all the DQ games this one is probably my favorite so far, with DQ monsters coming in second. ive played a few of the JRPG DQ games and while not bad, just werent for me. This spinoff in particular for some reason tends to get a lot of bad rep, yet pushes some of the most content for a DQ spinoff. I think the biggest factor or hate that DQ tends to get is that everything is repetitive, that being said, this game has base building and a treasure room that lets you display your favorite treasures you come across, and a lot of monsters to collect each with different abilities and skill sets / colors. Long time DQ fan and player. This one changes it up a bit and goes into the backstory of Eric form The Elusive Age. You do have to read a bit, but then again I guess this helps develop literacy. lol. Runs smooth with no crashing or graphics issues. Thumbs up!
