The Native American theme communicating with the spirit gods to find your missing husband really set this apart in terms of the story and accompanying visuals. The artwork is amazing. However, that's pretty much the only things this game has going for it. For some reason there are a collection of transitional mini-games between all the hidden object scenes. You get an interesting object mixing puzzle, which really gets you to think. But, there are all the match 3 interactions that take away from this games core purpose. It would be less of a deal if it was better implemented, but it's really just seems like it's there to add time to your playthrough. It's so routine that you'd be better off just skipping them. As far as the hidden object scenes go, they are put together in a way that you come across them several times to find another collection of items. I really liked that you had the option to select what order you wanted to do them in, but it didn't have any impact in the end. Plus, due to going over them multiple times, they got faster and easier to find things. This game isn't terrible, but it's no where good enough for the asking price. Anything made from Artifex Mundi is …

This is a pretty bad Hidden Object. The story is boring and you seem to always search for ingredients. The potion minigame is horrible and the bejeweled type minigame is pretty broken, as the special stones that you need to break in order to get potion don't spawn often enough and the minigame just ends up taking way to long. The biggest problem, however, is the hidden objects themselves, or the lack there of, to be more precise. The don't have nearly enough objects and I found out that I can clear most of the list without even reading what objects I need to find, but just clicking around. Also, the colors seem weird, and a lot of times the objects (especially the small ones) will blend into the environment (and not in an intentional kind of way )

It's not bad to look at. And that's about all it has going for it. The story is boring, like it was just barely strung together for the sole purpose of needing a reason to look for stuff. The game is a little picky about where on an object you click. More than a few times I gave up on finding an object and used the hint system, only for it to point out something I had already clicked on twice before. The potion minigame is freaking terrible. This is what caused me to abandon the game, as the in-game "help" does nothing to clear anything up. "If the potion is this color, and I add an ingredient of that color, it'll turn another color after drawing some 'symbol of vitality' or some such." Cool, but which symbol is that? The W? The 3? Squiggle? Loop thing? No direction whatsoever. Oh, and it also has a match 3 minigame. That wasn't bad. Nothing spectacular, but nothing that stood out about it.

Good hidden object game with a native american theme. I personally really didn't like the alchemy minigame between hidden object scenes, but the hidden object scenes themselves were well drawn and it had a somewhat interesting story. There was also random puzzle quest like battles, but they were super hard, because unlike puzzle quest you didn't have any powers, and the enemy started with like, 4x your hitpoints. I wound up skipping those puzzles just like the alchemy. I mainly just did the hidden object scenes, but enjoyed my 3 hours spent here.

As mush as I enjoy HOGs, I was not able to get into this one. I also had moments where the game wouldn't register that I had clicked an object. The game uses a match 3 for some of the puzzles which feels poorly implemented. You can at least skip them. If you want to try this game I would suggest waiting for a sale or getting it in a bundle.
