An enjoyable second chapter in the Spirits of Mystery series. This is an older HOPA: like the first game, there is no widescreen option and no map. Despite the less than stellar graphics, this is a very solid HOPA game, with plenty of HO scenes and puzzles. The art is very nice if you can look past the lower resolution. Pros: - nice fantasy setting and art - competent protagonist - occasional re-use of items - right number of HO scenes; interactive HO scenes are interesting (there are regular word lists as well) - variety in puzzles, some are challenging - areas are rarely closed off, but backtracking is reasonable - voice acting is infrequent, but competent - bonus chapter - nice, relaxing traditional HOPA game without bugs [running Windows 10] Cons: - no map at all, and there is some back-tracking required - the music seems fine at first, but becomes noticeably repetitive especially during HO scenes - no achievements (for Steam or within the game) [Note: lack of achievements also means less stress if you decide to use a Hint or Skip!] Overall: Despite the dated feel and lack of map or achievements, I enjoyed the game and I'm looking forward to the next one in the se…5 found this helpful
I can't believe that no one has reviewed this game. This is an excellent game which took me 6 hours to play on casual setting and that includes the bonus gameplay. I've played a lot of HO games and this is a high quality one with an interesting story. Graphics are good, but my only complaint is some of the HO scenes are very dark and the quality is poorer. Music fits the story, but can be repetitive. One thing missing is a map which I needed as I got lost many times! Bonus chapter was good, but finished with a rush. I would have liked to have seen the reunion of the dragons. Lots of puzzles ranging from easy to diabolical! I had to use the strategy guide for a couple and had to skip one. Highly recommended. 9/10.5 found this helpful
Playing as the same princess, you are now preparing for your wedding to your true love, the Phoenix Prince when his brother decides to intrude and take over that kingdom. Now, you have to rescue your true love and thwart the dark plots afoot. Plot is interesting, HO scenes fun, and the minigames exciting. Buy in the bundle.3 found this helpful

God old HOG. It has the usual features, with one little extra game play element. The Hint would only give you a hint if you were in the scene where you could do something like many of the older games. It didn't bother me, though. I didn't get stuck very often at all. I don't think it had a fast travel map, but I didn't miss it. The mini-games were quite creative. And I only skipped maybe three of them. It says I played for 3 hours. It felt longer than that. If it's truly only 3-4 hours, then definitely get it on a discount. I don't think this one was pricy to begin with.
