Or are you too cheap to spend more than $10 USD and looking for a cheap alternative to better drumming sims? Is quality of no concern for you? Are you willing to go to a developer's discord, download the music editor, and make your own custom songs to put in the correct directory for the game? Then Drum Legend VR may be the music rhythm game for you. It's completely mediocre. It doesn't have much of a song selection. Adding custom music is no easy task. You'd probably be better off playing Paradiddle, Ragnarock, Drums Hero VR, Into The Rhythm (how is it in Mixed review status?), etc. But you're looking to save a buck or just want something different after playing better games. Game is running on the Unity Engine. You have two different game modes, one that is close to a drum kit (like Paradiddle only a lot less customization and polish) or one that has 4 drums next to each other like Ragnarock, but without the polish or amazing song list. …

I liked it. Pretty solid little VR game. I'm a drummer myself, so it kinda tickled my nipples to play it. The Maestro mode is a bit underwhelming, but the Rhythm Rush mode compensates for it. Visually, the game is a bit too simplistic for my taste, but since it can be somewhat a competitive game maybe that's for the better. The music in the Rush mode is good, but not as great in the Maestro mode. In the latter, it sounds more like YouTube stock music. The controls are responsive and the game plays as it should. As a VR music game enthusiast, Drum Legend gives me a real drumming experience. Whether you know how to play drums or not, Drum Legend can guide you to play a song completely, especially the drum sticks and drum heads. The percussion vibrations and sound effects are very real; In addition, Custom songs also fascinate me. I used Drum Legend’s map editor to create some maps. They are all bands that I like very much. I feel like I am really in Play these songs and hope more drummers can join Discord to create the coolest maps together!

All i needed was 0.1 hrs into the game to realise it is not a great game. cool concept, but graphics are very arcade-like, very basic. The game itself is pretty bad. the music is not that great either. boring uneventful. the Drum track (Hard) was fun. a little challenging. that's where i realised that optimisation wasn't up to par. i was hitting the notes, but some of them were not registering properly or at all. I went thru the settings and set everything up properly to make sure that i was getting the best of the game. i did enjoy that this game gave you the option to orient your hammer angle and length. I'm a sucker for games that let you calibrate audio and visual. So, this was a nice start. overall, 14 bucks for this game is not worth it at this time.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to drum games. My favorite is still Drum Beats VR (only with custom songs). This game is pretty decent if you're looking for something more game-like that you can just hop in and play. There's only 5 drums in the drum kit though which makes it feel simplified. You can still get in a groove though and feel like you're playing the drums. Graphics are pretty low end but solid. Feels like a solid made-for-Quest game with a high frame rate running on PC. Mechanics of hitting the drums feels pretty good and satisfying. Overall it's pretty polished for how simple it is. Edit: sorry I meant 5 drums. Still not enough for serious custom song playing. Edit 2: So I played some more and this game is better than I expected. Very polished feel as mentioned but the best part is actually the Ragnarok mode. There's more songs there too. In this mode I feel like could be a good mode for custom songs. It's already good though and challenging with leaderboards, good music and high difficulty.
