Dungeons of Eternity

Just straight up, this game belongs at the bottom of the list of VR dungeon crawlers. You want a coop roguelike that actually has cool level design, enemy variety, and run modifiers? Get Ancient Dungeon. You want a long progression arc, physics combat, and coop? Get Legendary Tales. You just want the sickest most immersive adventure possible? Get Blade and Sorcery. If this game wasn't VR, it'd be a 2/10 asset flip kind of game. The designers of the game just fundamentally fail at every single aspect of the game. It's a game that has "progression" and "procedurally generated levels" but I have to put them in air quotes because they are implemented in such a fundamentally shallow and bland way that it feels disingenuous to mention them as inclusions. Ultimately this is a game that just doesn't really have anything to offer outside of its VR combat IMO. Its physics based combat is alright, and that's really its best feature. It's all bad outside of that. Its weapon variety, enemy variety, its progression, its level design, its repetitive and exhausting objectives, the level of grind, not a single one of these layers adds the smallest iota of gameplay impact. Very enjoyable and I look forward to future updates. Combat feels great and the generated dungeons helps keep things really fresh. I think it would be cool to have the armor in the game act like traditional RPG armor with stats and set bonuses instead of being purely cosmetic.

This game is so fun I thought i was driving an axe down into a skeleton's head and in reality i was punching a marble countertop. 10/10 would risk breaking my hand again. Runs great on Steam Frame local install!
